Going home

I put my hands up to defend myself from the knife, but I hear it clatter to the cold floor. I open my eyes and look and my hands. There is blue energy all around me covering me in a globe. I can see through it and as I relax my hands it disappears. I looked around to see Amber, Fury and Barry's eyes wide and staring at me. I smile innocently and shrug my shoulders.

"Why did you throw a knife at her" Barry yells after getting over the shock.

"I needed to see if she could do anything else unexpected when faced with a threat" Fury says calmly. "Okay Agent Juno you are free to leave. I have enough to report, but if you find anything new alert me personally" Fury says. "By the way here is your card with improved security clearance" he says, hands Barry a card then leaves. Barry scowls as he stuffs the card in his back pocket.

"How did you do that?" Amber asks still staring at me. "You made a forcefield". I look down at my hands, I'm not exactly sure how I did that. Barry looks at me encouragingly and I try. I pull in the energy flowing through my veins and hold it out. Floating around my fists is blue energy I focus it in front of me and a shield forms in front of me. I then stretch it out and I'm encased in a energy field.

"Try to get me Barry" I say focusing on my bubble. He nodes and runs at me. As soon as he hits the energy I feel it and it pushes me back with the shield, but Barry bounces off. I smile as Barry looks stumped, then it's his turn to smile. He vibrates and slowly touches the shield. I feel the my powers reacting to him and pushing me back. I try to hold it as long as possible, but eventually I weaken and Barry gets through. I sigh as Barry pulls me into a hug.

"Please come home with me" he whispers in my ear. "I want you back in my life. Plus Cisco and Caitlin can help you out with your powers" Barry says trying to convince me, and it works.

"Okay" I say which take a weight off my shoulders that I didn't know I was carrying. "I have to talk to Amber quickly" I say a wriggle out of his hug. I walk over to Amber and shake her hand. "Thanks for staying cool about this" I say and she pulls me into a hug. "If Barry can hug you so can I" she says and we both laugh.

"Okay, I'm gonna leave now but I will call you if I ever need anything" I say with a smile.

"Okay, but I won't help you with wardrobe questions" she says which makes us laugh more. I turn around back to Barry to see him with my bags.

"So how how are we gonna get home" I ask looking at my bags then Barry.

"I'll just run" Barry says and I hold up a hand.

"You cannot carry me and my bag across the county. That won't work out"

"Why not? Fine okay I can see that might not be the smartest...I will carry your bags home now" and with that he's gone with my bags. I sigh and decide to test out my powers some more. Hey maybe I'll need a new superhero name now?

I walk wobbly across the Cortex. I reach my normal chair and sit down rubbing my head.

"That was long" I say feeling sick to my stomach.

"Sorry" Barry says and kisses the top of my head. He walks around me and sits in the chair next to mine.

"So where are they" I ask referring to the rest of the gang.

"Cisco works with the meda-human task force at CCPD, Caitlin has a job at Mercury labs, Joe is running that task force, and Iris is still working for the paper" I sigh realizing how much the team drifted apart after the incident. I spin my chair around and look over to the Flash suite.

I know Barry blames himself for what happened, but he didn't have control over everyone. I think it would be good for the team to get back together. Tomorrow I will track some of them down and see what they say.

That night I sleep over at Barry's, I take the bed he gets the floor. Sorry not sorry. I decide I'm going to move out of my old apartment, given that it's location compromised. I'm waiting for S. H. E. I. L. D. to assign me a new living quarter, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I toss and turn in bed all night. I keep on having dreams of the surgery Dr. Gregor performed on me and me hurting Barry. I sit up strait in bed and small scars subconsciously. It's 2am and I can't fall back asleep. I swing my legs over the side of the bed and step carefully over Barry. I reach the bathroom and close the door behind me. I look into the mirror to see a tiered face with red eyes. I hold onto the ended of the counter and sigh. I scold myself for not being stronger and ignoring these dreams. I run the tap cold and splash water onto my face. I look down and feel a presence behind me. With lightning reflexes I elbow them in the stomach, but before I land my punch they grab my hand. I look up and sigh.

"Bartholomew Allen, you should know better than to sneak up on me" I say to him and watch as he rubs his stomach.

"I didn't mean to, I wanted to know if you where okay" he wheezes out. I smile and kiss his cheek.

"I'm fine" I lie and walk back to bed.
