Worlds Intertwine (Barry Allen)

The Race

We all stand, dressed in black, as the rain pours down reflecting the mood. I stand beside Barry under a black umbrella in front of Henry Allen's grave. My face is stone cold and expressionless as it usually is in times like this. I step into the rain when it's my turn to pay respects to Barry's father. 

"You where the only father figure I can truly remember in my life" I say letting one tear slip down my cheek and fall to the ground with the rain. "I loved you like a father and always will, you helped me in more way than you would know" I say and bend down to place a single daylily in front of the grave. I place my hand on the grave stone "I will take care of him" I whisper and stand back up to shelter myself from the rain once again. 

Everyone slowly leaves the graveyard so it's only me and Barry left standing. I hold his hand and lean against his shoulder, he wraps his arm around me and pulls me close. I feel a familiar gust of wind and look up to see Zoom. I react instantly and lunge for Zoom. Of course I fall the the ground looking up at him. I quickly stand up and wrap my energy around his neck and take a step towards him.

"Why can't you leave us alone?" I yell tightening my grip around his neck. "You've tortured Barry enough" I spit at him. He starts to phase and I lose my grip on him and now its my turn to have trouble breathing. I feel a pinch in my arm and I feel my powers ebb away.

"Race me for her life Barry" Zoom says gruffly and I try to regain my energy to fight back. "Race me for her life and everyone else you care for". I turn to see Barry angrier than I ever have his fists are clenched and his eyes are dark. 

"I'll race you" Barry replies with a sigh. 

"Good, I will see you later then" Zoom says and I hit the damp the ground. I stand up quickly with Barry helping me up. I look up to him and he looks down at me.

"We better tell the team" I say and all Barry does is nod then whisk us off the STAR labs.

"You're gonna race him?" Joe says in disbelief after Barry explains the situation. 

"Yes" Barry says with a sigh and puts both hands on the desk. "Either that or you all die" he says obviously more than a little ticked off. 

"I'll get some stuff read so you can train" Cisco says and walks off with Harry to his workshop. Joe, Wally and Iris are looking scared and Caitlin is working on something in the lab. Barry follows shortly after and Joe looks towards me.

"He is not okay" Joe says rubbing his chin.

"Yeah, I have never seen him this angry" I say frown. "I don't blame him, but I don't think he can cope right now.  We will try to have an eye on him at all times. He can move in with me for now" I say and stand up "I'm going to go train as well".

"Train?" Wally asks and I remember he doesn't know about me yet. I turn around and Joe looks at me then to Wally. "What are you some superhero too?" He asks with a tone of disgust crossings arms across his chest. 

"Yes actually" I say sassing him back "Im the Huntress" and Wally's hands go to his head. 

"What?" he says and looks up at the rest of us. "Anything else should know?"

"Nope" I say and walk out. 

I get to the training room just as Harry does, by the look on his face I can tell he's got some bad news. He calls over Cisco and Barry to the edge of the room. 

"You can not race Zoom" Harry says and that sets off Barry. 

"what do you expect me to do? Watch as you all die? No, I have to" Barry says angrily.
