Chapter XXV - Euphoric

[Phil&Lucas Flat, Central London, 9:32 pm, SU 08/01/17]

DAN: "Why am I even here?"

PHIL: "Do you not want to be here?"

DAN: "No, it's just that I spent so long at your house and now I'm coming back to  your flat with you, as well? I feel kinda guilty."

PHIL: "I just want to spend our last few days together. Is that so bad?"

DAN: "No, I want to as well, it's just--"

PHIL: "What?"

DAN: "I don't understand how you're not tired of me yet."

PHIL: (rolls his eyes as he fishes the key out of his pocket) "Shut up."

DAN: (following him into the flat) "Where's Luke? Thought he'd be really excited to have you back home."

PHIL: "Apparently not." (pauses, hiding a smirk) "My throat feels a bit dry."

DAN: "Do you want me to get you a glass of water?"

PHIL: (with an angel smile) "Yes, please."

DAN: (humming as he walks towards the kitchen, stops) "What the--"

EVERYONE: (jumping out) "Surprise!"

DAN: "What the fuck? Who's birthday?"

PHIL: "No one's, you idiot."

DAN: "I don't get it."

RHIA: "It's a leaving party."

DAN: (looking around, dining table is covered in food and alcohol, some presents are shoved underneath it, everyone is crowded in the small kitchen, turning to phil) "Did you know about this?"

LUCAS: (turns on some loud music, before yelling over it) "Of course he did."

DAN: (moving towards the table) "Well, in that case..." (downs a shot) "Anoyone wanna drink?"

DAN: (everyone's too hungover to move, they're all laying on the floor or on the couches) "Thank you for this, guys. I'm going to miss you all."

RHIA: "Can we be honest here? You never would've admitted that two months ago."

DAN: "Well, that's the only time I'm going to say it, so don't get used to it."

JESS: "This feels oddly emotional for a bunch of hungover twenty-somethings sleeping on the floor."

PHIL: "It's endearing."

ETHAN: "Dan, you better say you're going to miss me the most."

ERIN: "Uh, yeah right, Ethan." (pointing at dan and phil) "Do you not see how they're holding each other right now."

JESS: "Like one of them is going to die. It's kinda cute."

PHIL: (hides his face in dan's neck) "Can everyone speak a bit quieter?"
