The sunset pecked on her hollow cheeks
Her eyes, sunken deep, engrossed in a game of hide and seek
Her once tender hands, aged and wrinkled
Her starry dress, faded, no light, no twinkle
The signing off rays crash landed on her colorless hair
That once, was golden brown, combed by the air
Her lips, dry and scaled
Her face, veiled by cobwebs of pain
Glued to a spot by her window, paused in time
Abandoned in an unending wait, chastised by fate
Reshuffling assumptions, lost somewhere in, "Why?"
Partially agonized, partially calmed, partially undulating in faith
With her inner eyes, she kept scanning the past
The foundation, the bedrock of devastation, emotional clash
Before her feelings were locked, chained, unable to dash
Those slightly sweet moments stolen by unrepentant time in a flash
Swimming in the trance of purposeful mistake
Digging regrets, deepening the hole
Her heart, murdered, stripped of living colours
Her inside, emptied, without spiritual matter — a soul
She had been buried in thoughts of yesterdays
She had fallen and passed away
Drowned utterly in the abundance of bitter solace
With his broken promises as her necklace
In the debris of chaos, wanting to be found while hidden
Biologically, alive and breathing, pyschologically, not living
Hearing dumb thunders, blind, seeing lightning
Monochrome, her heart had become, though, too blackened, in need of more whitening
