in the dream
I was Samson
she was Delilah
one part was heaven
the other was hellfire
the tree of life was in the middle
with an only fruit webbed by a riddle
an angel stood beside me
a demon grinning near her, I did see
the angel asked me, "Do you like her?"
so, I dived into analysis like a striker
she had red lips
curvy hips
a beautiful smile
her physical structure, a definite wow
"Yes" boldly, I replied
the angel shook his head, "Wisdom is not applied"
"Let him be!" the demon sneered
"Your consent is not required!" and pulled me near
"Come to me" Delilah opened her arms
the angel cried, "She's the one that harms!"
"He's lying. She's sheer pleasure,
all can vividly see to what measure"
closely, the demon was more beautiful
looking back, the angel seemed pitiful
his wings began to fail
heaven, rained with hails
a whisper said it was my faith
that gave power to dreadful fate
also closely, hell seemed lukewarm
I didn't see the horror or undying worms
there was a scent, elevating as I inhaled
prettiest things of the world
diamond, silver and gold
Delilah led me to a royal bed
filled with grapes, on which I fed
sliding her intoxicating hands on my head
she whispered into my ears, "Darling, you're dead!
alarmed, I pushed her, "Must escape!"
the demon's beauty was just a cape
it fell off as he chased after my soul
scaled hands stretched, could feel his heart was cold
I heard the angel's voice, "Run! Samson, run!!
if he catches you, you're finally dead and gone!!"
hell started to boil
I saw the worms and how they coil
darkness started to creep
my swollen heart began to weep
appearance is deceiving
seeing is believing
these two statements are contradictory
they aren't in agreement, complementary
the first one should stand alone
never be said with the other below
my feet burns
the demon yearns
soon I'll melt or be caught
should've held on to all I was taught
hope resurrected, as a dragon–shaped light, from the heavens slithered
it was magnificent, allover, was slivered
the angel pulled out his wings
he cared so much, despite my sins
he threw them at me
as I ran with a fright you could see
I caught them just before hell melted
I hung in midair, awaiting my helper
the dragon reached to me, at the nick of time
a second away, and I'd never be able to smile
the angel smiled as I got closer to heaven
the demon tried but his speed was not even
soon, I was right where I stood at the beginning
the place of peace and rainbows colours shinning
from where I could see hell as it was darkening
and all it's horrors so frightening
Delilah came to the border again
with her demon, angry and pained
the angel asked me, "Do you like her?"
"No! I wish to strike her!"
"Ok, Stay here. I'll be back
I'll come along with a snack"
eternities seemed to have passed
so, again, I began to trespass
I let her tickle me with her fingers
lure me with her voice of many singers
"Samson, where are you?" the angel asked
"........." I wouldn't know, with both eyes out.
