.:Josh:.
Running.
Running.
Running.
That's all Josh could do, he wasn't thinking straight. The images of what he had just seen replaying in his head.
The image of Tyler standing there, covered in blood, holding a knife while a dead body just lay there so casually.
Not once did Josh look back. He didn't want to be anywhere near Tyler right now.
No. He didn't even what to see him. All that he will see now when being near him is the images of what had happened and he can't bare that.
He ran and he ran and he ran until he came to a stop in front of his friends house.
He knocked frantically on the door as tears streamed down his face faster than a rapid river.
The door opened to reveal a tired girl in about her early twenties, her brown hair sticking out all over the place a pink nightgown wrapped nicely around her petite body, slightly hiding the small baby bump that was growing as she rubbed her tired eyes.
"Josh? What are you doing here? More for the matter, why are you crying?" She said as she looked at the crying male.
Josh wrapped his arms around the girl, not saying a word as he cried into her shoulder not saying a word, he needed to come up with a lie. He didn't want to tell her the truth.
Even with what he had just seen who wasn't going to say anything because well, he didn't want Tyler to hate him even if he didn't want to even see or be near him right now.
The girl wrapped her arms back round her friend, holding him close as she dragged him into the house while shutting the door behind them, dragging him into the living room before sitting down on the couch.
"Now, tell me what's wrong," she said as she rubbed her hand up and down Josh's back in a soothing manner.
"I-It's back.." He whispered, knowing that she would know what he meant even with him lying.
"Oh Josh, I'm sorry. I'm here, don't listen to it okay? It's not true what it says," she said softly as she held her friend closer.
Josh only nodded not wanting to say anything else, he just cried into his friends shoulder as the images kept replaying in his mind.
After a good ten minutes of them both being in that position Josh pulled away from the hug and wiped his wet eyes before looking at his friend.
"P-Please can I stay for awhile? I-I don't wanna be alone.. I don't trust myself," he lied only wanting to be away from his place because he just knows Tyler would keep pestering him.
"Of course you can, stay as long as you want okay?" She said with a small smile only making Josh nod in response.
"I'm gonna go to bed then," he said as he stood up.
"I will too."
She stood up as well, the both of them making their way upstairs. Josh opened the door to the guest bedroom and walked in.
He looked at his friend and said "Goodnight Lucy, I really appreciate this and everything you do for me," he said with a soft smile.
"Don't mention it, I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight Josh," she said as she walked into her room and shut the door.
Josh shut his own door, quickly removing his uniform before climbing into the bed, pulling the warm covers over his body as he closed his eyes.
He took in a deep breath before he slowly began to fall asleep.
