Chapter 5.

Lydia's POV: 

I hop in my car and head to the hospital. I can't stop thinking about how this is my fault. I argued with Blake. I wouldn't talk to him. I antagonized him. Why did I do that? Doing whatever I did that caused Blake to feel the need to drink and drive....

I arrive at the ER. I walk in and I see DJ, Chris, Jada, Matt, Gloria, and the others that joined Blake on his vacation. 

Chris: THANK GOD! Lydia you made it! he is in that first room! Hurry up and tell him what he wants to hear before he gets himself killed. 

I nod to Chris. I had my purse and keys to Gloria. I walk into the room. The doctor is in there talking to Blake. 

Lydia: Blake Austin Griffin. HAVE YOU  ABSOLUTLEY LOST YOUR MIND? let the doctor check you out. Please!

Blake: NO! not until i talk to you. No. Excuse me doc, we need some privacy. 

Doctor: okay but please keep in mind that you are a ticking time bomb. I need to exam you yesterday. 

the doctor walks out and Blake sits up and cringes in pain. I walk over to him and help him sit up. I caress his face with my hand.

Lydia: this is all my fault. I made you chase me. I am what caused you to get in the car and drive knowing you were hammered. 

Blake: Lydia, no. this is not your fault. i made the decision, not you. But about Lana-

i cut him off.

Lydia: Blake i dont care about that right now. I just want you to get better, and they cant do that without examining you.. so please. im here. im here now. and ill be here when they are done with the exam. im not going to leave you. Blake grabs my face and kisses me passionatley. i wrap my hand around the back of his neck and he moans in pain. 

Blake: okay, okay. Go get the doctor. You will be here when i come out right? 

Lydia: yes Blake. im not leaving your side. 

the doctor rushes in and they escort me out. i can see what they do to Blake through the window. they connect him to tube, put IV in his arm. and they are asking him questions. Blake and my eyes were locked on each other. He gave me a half smirk and i blew him a kiss and headed to the wating room. 

*moments later*

The doctor walks into the waiting room to give us an update on Blake.

Doctor: Blake suffered from 2 broken ribs which luckily didnt puncture any organs. He also has excess fluid between the discs of the top of the spine. We are going to have to operate on the back of his neck to clean up the fluid. It is a standard operation. Blake is a very lucky man that he was wearing his seatbelt. it saved his life. 

everyone sighed with releif knowing Blake is going to be okay. 

Lydia: Hey Doc  may we see him before surgery.

he nods and tells us yes. all 20 of us walk in his room. Then due to Deandre cutting up and being himself, it was limited to only 5 visitors at a time. Blake goes into surgery and it goes smoothely. He comes out and is asleep in the room. Everyone else went back to thier hotel. I stayed like i promised. i begin to hear Blake mumble. I look over and see him begin to wake up. i walk over to the bed.

Lydia: heyyy sleepy head, how are you feeling? 

he looks up at me and in his sleepy voice he says

Blake: Did i die and go to heaven? because you must be an Angel. 

then he laughs.

Lydia: Blake, you are crazy you know that? dont you ever think you can drink and drive. please dont do this again. i have been a mess.

Blake: why have you been a mess? i thought you hated me. I have never seen a more dissappointed and disgusted face you gave me in the club... i made a mistake. I tend to not knoiw how to show my feelings. i also tend not to stay faithful. I know that i am a train wreck when it comes to relationships. Just ask my ex's. But there is something about you that makes me want to do better. I know i cant take back what i did tonight but i want you to just give me the chance to prove to you that i can be faithful to you. I hope that you can learn to like me, then love me, then marry me, then die with me.... Im not saying that i love you. Because i dont. Its too soon to even know what i feel for you. But i do feel it, and its strong.

I am speechless. how the hell do i respond to that? My mind has been all over the place tonight. i went from a school girl with a crush, to a mad bitch, to now a crushing school girl again. i feel buttterflies in my stomach. i look at him and smile.

Lydia: Blake, you are doped up on drugs and barely awake. You need some rest. You dont know what you are saying. 

Blake: yes i do. Lydia, i wanna date you!!! let me take you on a date. right now. here help me with these tubes. Do you know how to take and IV out? OH, go over there and get my clothes.

I grabs his arms telling him to stop. laughing a little.

Lydia: Blake, the date can wait. The only thing i am worried about is you gettting better, so get better now, date me later.

Blake was in the hospital for about 3 days, then they let him go home or shall i say my house. i told Blake he could stay at my house because i was my off week from the resort. Malika would be taking both of our shifts due to this week being our slowest week of the year. We arrive at my house and i help Blake out of the car and take him inside and sit him on the couch. 

Blake: Lydia. Im not crippled. I had surgery on my back. Stop sheltering me. I mean i love the attention but i can walk by myself. 

Lydia: fine fine fine. Ill just ignore doctors orders to help you wash your back when you take a shower.... 

this comment made Blake's head shoot up.

Blake: well if its the doctors orders, then we must listen to him. dont you think?

Lydia: then let me help you.

i walk in the kitchen and made Blake a sandwich. he said he was tired of hospital food. so i made him a BIG sandwich. for the rest of the day Blake and I watched TV and just louged around the house. It was about 8:00 and i heard a knock at the door. I get up to get the door and i cannot believe who it was. 

"Hi, my name is Lana. Is Blake here?"

Oh hell no.
