Chapter 25

Lydia's POV:

So a little time has gone by and so far my cancer has shrunk down to very small tumors. Thanks to the chemo. The horrible chemo sessions. Some of my hair is growing back. I lost it all you know. One day i couldn't take it anymore and i shaved it all off. Blake got home and saw what i did. Well what i did was a hack job, so he pulled out his fancy razor blade and helped me fix it. And would you believe what he did next? He sat right down and asked me if I would do the honors of shaving his hair to look like mine. And so I did. He has been with me every step of the way of my cancer trials. I wish i could show my thanks but there is no earthly way to show him. I give him my soul and my heart. That is all i have to give and i give it all to him. 

Blake got up early for a summer practice with the team. I was still asleep. Obviously. who is going to get up at 5 if they don't have to? not this girl. I get up and shower. I fix my hair which is pixie cut short by the way. I learned how to style it though so that it looks semi okay.. I put on denim shorts and a yeezus native shirt. I pull on my black booties and grab my purse and i am out the door. This is my last doctors trip for 2 months and I am thrilled beyond compare. Ugh i am so over that hospital smell. I check in and the doctor runs all the scans on me he can think of. He says he wants to be extra thorough so they don't miss anything. i wait about 30 minutes and he is back with the results. 

Doctor: Lydia? you ready?

Lydia: Oh more than you will ever know. 

Doctor: Okay, so your scans are clean. Your tumors are gone Lydia. You are cancer free. We will do some blood test to confirm but as of what I can tell we are in the clear. 

i cannot believe what I am hearing. I went through a really tough time and I struggled with this and now he is telling me what i have been praying for to happen is actually happening?! 

Lydia: Oh my gosh, yes of course run what ever blood test you have to. 

The doctor does so and he runs them. 

Doctor: Oh and Lydia its okay for you to leave the country by the way. 

Lydia: Why would I need to leave the country? 

He stutters a little. 

Doctor: Just telling you all of the good news. 

Okay? anyways he tells me he will call me in about 3 hours with the blood results. 

I decide to go to Blake's practice and surprise him with the good news! I pull in and show the my pass. I park beside Blake's Mercedes. Which i know its his bc thats fords carseat in the car. I walk in to the gym and they are running shooting drills. I see some of the other ladies and i go over and talk to them. Just then Blake pulls me up and then he spins me around and kisses me. I giggle embarrassingly loud. 

Blake: I love that laugh of yours.

Lydia: I love you.

we kiss again.

Blake: So how did it go? the appointment? 

Lydia: Baby, I am cancer free. Blood tests will confirm it but i am cancer free. 

He makes a really loud shouting noise. He is smiling from ear to ear. He collapses to his knees. I kneel next to him.

Lydia: Blake baby whats wrong? 

Blake: Nothing is wrong this is the greatest day of my life. I have been praying for this day for a very long time. I prayed that he wouldn't take you from me. Because I can't breathe without you. I can't think without you. I can't live without you. And now I have everything i could ever want in life. I am very very happy. so no nothing is wrong. 

Doc: Blake!! 

he screams angrily.

Blake quickly stands up. 

Blake: Yes sir? 

Doc: take the rest of the day off son. And Lydia its really great to see you, you look great. 

Lydia: thank you. It is really great to see you too. 

Blake grabs my hand and we run out of there like its on fire. He is laughing. I haven't seen him like this in a long time and it truly brings me joy. He showers and grabs his things and we leave. We go home and lay in bed for like an hour and let him take a nap because lord knows my baby needs one. Well and so did I. Mama can't function without her nap. He rustles a little in his sleep. I feel him and i roll over he is looking at me. Smiling. 

Blake: Hey baby

Lydia: Hey baby 

Blake: Lydia you know what I want right now? 

Lydia: What?

Blake: You. Its been awhile since we have had sex and I get the chemo decreases your sex drive and I respect you and that so if you aren't ready then thats fine but i just really want you. 

it is true we haven't made love in awhile. I really want him. right now. I just recently got a wax too bc i felt my sex drive restore order in my body. 

Lydia: baby, i want nothing more than for you to be inside of me. 

He looks at me in disbelief and i give him a reassuring nod and he pulls me into him and i fall into a passionate deep kiss. Ugh i have missed this. I have never wanted anyone more than I want him right now. I feel his erection on my thigh. Oh fuck yes. He takes off my shirt and then he takes of my shorts. then he takes off my panties and bra. then he takes a step back. I am confused by this. He is staring at me. What did that wax lady forget a patch ugh I knew she fucking did. She couldn't understand what i was saying to begin with. 

Blake: Lydia, You have never been more beautiful to me that right now. You are my queen and i could stare at you like this for hours on end every day. I am in love with you. Marry me? 

Lydia: Blake, you have already asked me to marry you and I have already said yes. 

i giggled. 

Blake: Yea well i am asking you again. After everything that has happened after all the shitty things i have ever done to you. I am asking you again, Will you marry me? 

Lydia: Yes Blake, again, I will marry you. 

He falls onto me and we fall into blissful lovemaking.
