Kayla POV
"Kayla?! Wake up!" someone shouted at me.
"No." I said stubbornly.
"Your just like your father." I now recognized the voice. It was Klaus.
"I know I am. Leave so I can sleep." I commanded.
"No because you have school. If you don't get out of bed I will flip the mattress over." Klaus threatened.
I jumped out of bed not wanting that to happen. My own uncle did that to me in the middle of the summer so then I would get out of bed.
I looked at the clock. It said that it was five in the morning!
I went to my bathroom, and brushed my hair and teeth. Next I went to my closet to find a sweatshirt. Then I went to my drawers to find a shirt and a pair of pants.
I got done getting dressed and I went downstairs to chew my uncle out. I got downstairs, and I saw him standing in the kitchen cooking. 'Since when did my uncle Klaus cook?' I thought.
"Good morning sunshine." Klaus said. He always said 'Good morning sunshine' to me in the mornings.
"Morning. Why did you get me up a five? I could use the sleep you know." I said scolding him the slightest bit.
"So you and I can have some time alone. Uncle, niece time." he said and I giggled.
"Well what do you want to talk about then?" I asked getting to the point.
"You are so much like your father, wanting to get the point. Also with your stubbornness." he said not looking at me. I giggled.
"Well I guess I get that from dad." I said shrugging.
It was silent for a few minutes.
"How are mom and I alike?" I asked wanting to know. No one talked out how I was alike her, but more my dad than anything.
"Beauty, and well that's it. Otherwise your nothing like her."
"How come you guys really don't like her?"
"You excited for school?" he asked changing the subject. I didn't want to get him mad so I let it go.
"No. I don't want to go to school. School is boring and the only time you can talk is in lunch or if you raise your hand and get picked on from the teachers." I said playing with my nails. My uncle just laughed.
"The plus side is seeing your friends, right?" Klaus said trying to get me to agree.
"Yes that's the plus side. Why else did you get me up this early?"
"No reason. I just wanted to be alone with you without any interruptions. Your breakfast is done." he said putting a plate in front of me. I took a bite and sighed.
"These eggs are good. I'm surprised that you know how to cook." I teased.
"Ha ha ha very funny. I've known how to cook for years so don't mock me little girl."
"I'm not a little girl see." I said standing up. I was almost as tall as he was.
"You are still younger than me so that makes you a little girl." he argued.
"Just because I'm younger than you by like a lot doesn't mean I'm a little girl. I'm pretty much an adult." I said frowning.
"I know, I'm just messing with you."
"Who is messing with who?" I turned around to see my dad in a little bit of my uncles fashion. I giggled.
"What?" He asked confused.
