Marks pov

I open my door with no fear.

No fear of homophobic abusive parents coming to beat me. I, for once, felt happy to be home.

I plop on the couch, Ace chuckling. He go's to his room. I lay on the couch, a genuine smile on my face.

I look to my phone as I hear it go off.

I pick it up. It was a text from Jack.

My heart lept with joy.

No homophobic parents and Jacks coming over. Could this day possibly get any better!?

I hear footsteps come down the stairs. I see Ace wearing all black and a big hoodie on him, it hid his face. "Where are you going like that?" I ask.

"Society." He said, and walked out the door.

Wow, I have the house to myself. And I'll be alone, with Jack.

This day can get better! I hear a knock on my door. I got up to answer who was there.

I smile as I'm greeted by a green haired punk.

"Hai Jack." I say. "Hi Mark." Jack said.

"Come in." I say. I step aside and Jack walks in. I close the door and lock it.

Jack plops on the couch, me following.

"What ye wanna do?" Jack asks. I shrug.

"Wanna play some Mario kart?" I suggest. He smirks and nods. I smile and go start everything up.

I grab my pink remote and a black one.

I gave Jack the black one while I got pink. The starting screen came on and we pressed play.

We choose our characters. I went with Rosalina and Jack picks dry bones. We pick our karts and the maps.

The first race track shows up on the screen.

The count down starts. I look at Jack and he gives me a dumb smirk.

I look back to the screen. I smile as the race starts.

"NOO!!" I shout as a blue shell hit me during the final map, making Jack take the lead and beat me.

Jack yells victoriously and I groan. "Told ya' I can beat yer arse." He teased.

I roll my eyes. I grab my phone to check the time. Oh wow.

"It's 5:10." I said.

"Wow, we played that for so long." Jack chuckled. "Wanna watch a movie?" He asked.

I nod happily. We go over to decide on a movie. Jack wanted to watch a horror movie and I wanted to watch Ratatouille.

I wasn't a big fan of horror, mostly because I always get so scared very easily.
