After hanging up on Amelia, I knew that if I got there alone it wouldn't be fair to them. Natasha was their best friend, the least I could do is to bring them someone to comfort them. I asked Ralph and Aaron if they wanted to come, and luckily, their parents let them come with me. I asked my driver to drive the three of us towards the private airport, to get inside the jet.
Because my dad knew how fast I really needed to get to Seattle, he let us use his private jet, the fastest plane I know. The three of us walked inside the plane, and waited until the captain was aboard.
"How are the girls coping with this?" Aaron asked.
"They're really worried. I could tell that Amelia was really worried for Nash; I wish I could say the same thing for Danielle, but I didn't get the chance to talk with her." I said.
"I hope they're okay." Ralph said.
"I just wish Nash is okay." I said. The minute I came to realize what just happened, my heart felt heavy. And what hurt the most, I wasn't there to save her from the fall, I wasn't there to get her to the nearest hospital, I wasn't there to speak first with the doctor and know what she has and try to do something to save her.
And why wasn't I there?
Because I was laying in my bed, doing something on the computer, in Paradise, without knowledge to what was going on in the world, eleven hours away.
How could I be so clueless?
Why couldn't I have gone back home with her?
Was this mistake all my fault?
"Excuse me, Mr. Westin?" A stewardess asked, interrupting my thoughts.
"Yes?" I asked.
"We're ready for take-off."
"Okay, let's go."
"Yes, sir." She nodded and then went towards the captain's cabin.
"Wait, miss?" I said, and she turned back around.
"Yes, Mr. Westin?"
"Can you please tell the captain to go the fastest possible; it's crucial that we get to Seattle the soonest possible."
"I will tell the captain."
"Thank you."
She nodded, and walked away.
About two minutes later, the captain turned off the lights in the main cabin the three of us were in, for take-off. I just wish we can be able to get there on time. Please, dear God, take care of her while I'm not there.
About an hour into the flight, I fell asleep. In my dream, I couldn't stop thinking about Natasha and that what happened in that airport, could've been stopped by me. I was the one who she was talking on the phone with, after all.
My dream was like a maze. This was like the maze from a garden, green bushes were acting as the walls, and the floor was marble tiles. I had heard Natasha calling my name desperately, but I couldn't find her anywhere.
"Jason!" I heard her call me.
I turned around to be able to find her, but I couldn't. She was nowhere to be seen.
I tried calling her name. "Natasha!"
No answer.
"Natasha!" I tried again.
"Jason!" This time, her calls sounded more distant than before.
"Natasha, where are you?" I called.
