Slowly, I opened my eyes.

I only saw darkness.

Where am I?

I tried to stand up, and luckily succeeded. I was standing on a black floor, surrounded by black walls. No light in the room. Nobody else here but me.

I suddenly became scared.

What just happened? How did I get from the airport to a dark room where I was all alone? I tried to call someone to help me.

"Amelia?"

No answer.

"Danielle?"

She didn't answer.

"Jason?"

Nothing.

"Where is everyone?"

"They can't enter this place." Said a voice behind me.

"Who's there?" I asked panicking.

"I'm your conscience."

"What? Is my conscience a random voice?"

"Oh, let me turn on some kind of light for you to see better." Said the voice.

Suddenly, the dark room became a deep green forest. I was surrounded by pure nature, somewhere in the woods, and a young-looking woman was standing beside me. She was dressed in a bright pink peasant skirt that reached her knees, a white tank-top underneath a rose pink spaghetti-strap shirt. She was wearing ankle-high hot pink sneakers. Her hair was half-up, all in curls. She had a bright smile on her face.

"Who are you?" I asked her.

"My name is Rose. I'm your conscience." She said.

"Why am I here?"

"You're inside your mind right now."

"Why? What happened?"

"You fell down the stairs after you saw your father with his new family, you hit your head and your friends brought you to the place your body is in right now. The Virginia Mason hospital. Your mother, cousin, best friends, and their boyfriends are right now sitting outside your hospital room waiting for a sign for you to wake up."

"If my friends and their boyfriends are there, where's Jason?"

"He's about to enter your hospital room in a few minutes."

"How did he get here so fast?"

"Jason's feelings are true towards you. He loves you. So, as soon as Amelia told him about what happened, he asked his father to let him use the fastest plane Mr. Westin owns. Luckily, Jason got the chance to use it, and asked Ralph and Aaron to join him when he came to Seattle for you. He is worried about you; he thinks you're like this right now because of him."

"But that's not true; according to you, I fell because of shock after seeing my dad."

"The two of us know that, your mother knows that, your friends think its true; it's only Jason who believes this whole thing is his fault."

"How do you know this?"

"I know things while being here."

"Speaking of here, what exactly is this place?"

"Your mind."

"My mind is in the forest?"

"No, your mind travels wherever you want it to go."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes. Let's try going to your bedroom in your house."

And soon enough, my mind traveled to my bedroom. The one I left before going to The Bahamas with my friends. It was just like I left it. I felt like I was standing in my room in real life. I could touch everything. I could feel everything.

"That's because you're here in your mind. Let's go to the beach, back in Atlantis." Rose said.

My mind traveled over to the Atlantis Resort once more. The beach was deserted, except for two people. A couple was laying down on the sand, completely asleep, while wrapped in an embrace. I walked closer, and could soon recognize the same dark brown hair the girl had, for my own. I soon made out Jason's face while he was asleep next to the sleeping version of me.

"Rose, why am I there sleeping with Jason, while you said I was back in Seattle in a hospital bed?" I asked.

"That's because your mind travels with memories. Those of which you have done. Let's go back to the forest."

We traveled back to the forest where we were before.

"Do you now understand the power that you have in your mind?"

I nodded. "I do."

Suddenly, the sound of a door opening and closing filled my mind.

"It seems as if Jason just entered your room."

"How can you tell it's him?"

"You'll notice very soon." She said. And she vanished.

I was left all alone in my mind once more. Stuck in a forest, while I tried listening to the things Jason was about to say.
