After coming home after Morton's, Jason went to his hotel, while Richard drove us back home. After dropping Jason on the driveway of his hotel, he extended his hand and gave me something, like a small plastic bag filled with stuff. I didn't open it until I was upstairs in my bedroom.
I opened the plastic bag, and inside I found the two tickets to the aquarium from our visit this morning, and a little scrap of notebook paper that read,
For you to put on our scrapbook -Jason
And that was exactly what I was going to do. I walked to my desk and grabbed the scrapbook and put it on my bed. I flipped the pages until I reached the very last one, where it was about the Virginia Mason hospital. I uncovered the plastic tape-cover from the empty page next to it, and placed the two Seattle Aquarium. I grabbed my laptop and searched for a picture of the Morton's reastaurant to put it in too. Once I found the picture from google, I printed it, cut it into a square, and placed it in the scrapbook. Then, I searched through my phone and found the picture of Jason and I standing in front of the Pacific Coral Reef exhibition.
We took a picture with this particular exhibition, because the fish here resemble extremely the ones we saw back at The Dig on our very first date in Atlantis. Remember that date? After my friends and I finished spying on Amber and Jeremy, Jason took me there during the sunset and together we saw the marine life under the last rays of the sun.
With my phone connected to the computer using the USB cable, I was able to get that picture, and all the ones we took, into my iPhoto application. I put the picture into a Microsoft Word document, and then printed that picture. Once in hand, I cut the picture into a perfect square and placed it in the scrapbook. With a scrap piece of paper left from the picture-cutting, I grabbed a pen and wrote My Birthday, and put it in the scrapbook. Once that page was finally done, I closed the plastic-tape cover and made sure there were no air-bubbles or creases once the cover was placed over the page.
After I was done with the scrapbook, I placed it in my desk and walked to my drawers in my closet to look for pajamas. I took them out and left them on top of my bed, while I walked to my bathroom to wash my face. Once I was done, I walked back to my bedroom and put on the pajamas I had taken out a short while ago. I put on a pair of socks on my feet, and walked over to my bed. I got inside the covers, and turned off the light. Just before I snuggled in my covers, my phone buzzed.
I got up from my comfortable and warm bed, and picked up my phone. The screen had a short preview of a new text message from Jason. Suddenly, walking from my warm bed to pick up my phone wasn't for nothing. I opened the message and it read,
Once again, happy birthday beautiful! I love you, and I know we'll make this summer one that neither of us will forget! Even if it will only be me and you! I love you, Nash! Sweet dreams, beautiful. - Jason
A smile appeared on my lips after reading his message. Something about him was just... I don't know. He was very special, and I knew that there ever came a point in my life where we'd go our separate ways (which I hoped with all my heart would never even happen), I could never be able to get over him.
Over the next few weeks, my summer had gone from pretty good to amazing. Even if Amelia left to Africa and Europe and whatnot, I still had Jason and Danielle with me. Together we went to the mall to hang out, we went to the Chocolate Indulgence Walking Tour just for fun. I had never seen so many chocolate in my life! By the time Danielle had to leave for her Netherland's summer trip, we had basically walked around Seattle doing every little thing possible.
Jason and I only had about a week and a half together before he went back to Bahamas to spend the remaining time of his summer with his parents before packing up and heading to New York to study Business in NYU. During that time, we stayed in my house watching movies and enjoying each other's company. Whenever we weren't in my house, we were walking down the rose garden at the zoo. When his last day here came, it was like a rewind to my last day in The Bahamas. Only that instead of having a private Taylor Swift concert and walking down the beach at sunset, we had dinner together at the Seattle Needle together, and spent about a couple hours together in my house watching movies while my mom and Richard were away on a date and my sister was with her boyfriend on his house. My brother, Michael, was stuck inside his computer playing Skyrim.
