Silf put her head down on the desk, gray tried to comfort her but she pushed away his hand. She couldn't stop thinking about all the blood. How it pored out of dusk and circled around that man's hand. She couldn't stop thinking about how helpless she felt. Everyone froze except for Alexander. Why was he so brave. Why was she thinking about him especially now? A ruler slammed down on the desk.
Mis O: If you think my class if for sleeping, young lady -
Gray: Leave her alone. What had she ever done to you?
It was unusual for gray to lash out like he did. Silf could tell he was feeling more stress than she was.
Amber: Vampire boy why don't you just shut up we all know you helped that new kid kill Dusk.
Gray was being targeted and that was stressing him out more. He left the room.
Mis O: Excuse me where do you think you're going.
Gray shot a look that could kill light if it were to come to close.
Gray: Away. I want to stay in a room like yours.
Silf pushed her way past the crowd and ran for gray. When she found him he was outside of the infirmary.
Silf: Gray. Than-
Gray was sitting against the wall book in hand and tears running down his face. He had been targeted before especially when he was a child but none hurt as much as being targeted for a death he had to witness.
Silf: It's alright Gray.
She hugged him and he placed his head on her.
Max came around the corner. Silf looked up. Max stopped at the doors to the infirmary and opened it. His face came over with rage and fear. Gray wiped away his tears and got up. Both of them looked into the room.
Dusk was gone.
To be continued...
