Born with the Lost Element

A friend

Dr. X : Well please take your seat, anywhere is fine. 

Alexander: Okay, sir.

He sits in the only available chair. It was pined in the middle of class. Students were talking all around him. The next bell rang signaling the start of class.

Dr. X : Okay, okay, class quiet down.

He sat in his rolling chair backward and tried to roll across the room but a pencil had other plans. He fell flat on his face. Kids around him laughed.

Dr. X : Okay what just happened here. Yes, Kevin?

Kevin: Your an idiot that's what happened.

Sandra: Kevin that's not nice, apologies.

Dr. X : It's okay children.

He sat back in his chair and started teaching. The lesson was on the science behind things. What happens in your body to create the elemental powers. There were a few interruptions.

A few times he had to tell people to stop fooling around and other times he had to fiddle with the visual effects display. It seemed to have a glitch in its programming.

The school bell rang again. End of class.

Dr. X: Okay, okay, students. Have a good day.

Dr.X sighed in exhaustion as students left.

Alexander wandered down the hall until he reaches his next class. The class was nearly full and a familiar vibe was coming from. It's was like he was with someone he trusted. A vibe like when he was with his father.

The teacher motions to sit down. He sits down at the back of the class as the teacher starts the lesson on how the history of the elements is Important and how people used their powers for different reasons. Alexander skimmed through the thick book they had on every desk.

There was one chapter that caught his eye. It was a chapter labeled mysterious and unknown element. Alexander started reading it and not paying attention to the class for a while.

The chapter was basically a few rumor of events dealing with this element and cave and drawn pictures of a power unknown, unlabeled to any of the other elements. The chapter didn't tell much truth or facts.

Girl: Hey you like that chapter too?

Alexander: There is not much to it but ya.

Alexander looked over at the girl who was sitting next to him. She had dark brown hair and red eyes. He could tell she was an element of fire

Girl: You seem different than most of the people here. What's your name?

Alexander: Alexander.

Girl: Oh cool. I like that name.

She took a piece of gum out of her mouth and put it under her desk.

Girl: Call me Huo.

Alexander: Huo?

Huo: Ya you seem cool so, you're my new friend. I don't have much of them but you seem cool.

Alexander: Um, okay.

The thought for the rest of class what the meaning of friend was. The bell rang and people shuffled to their classes. Alexander was in class rather fast because it was right next to his previous class.

An: he will get more friends don't worry. But this girl is his first. She has the Asian name for fire.
