Max sat at his desk scanning his papered and noted one that hasn't been out there an hour ago. The note was on a thick price of black paper. He recognized the writing style military. It said 2 words. "Times up".
Max: Dusk?
Dusk: Wow it didn't take long for you to find out who had written it.
A sharp pain came between maxes 3 and 4th rip. Dusk had stabbed him through the chair. Max turned to face him. Dusk's face didn't seem happy and seemed to mouth words of apology. Max gripped the wound still sitting. He knew if he were to move it would have started to bleed.
Max: What do I owe this visit too?
Dusk: Don't take it personally but your time is up. As of tomorrow, she will come back to destroy this hell.
Max could tell dusk had been halting back. He didn't want max dead but was acting under orders. Dusk power had almost tripled since the last time max had seen him. Dusk stepped into the shadows and vanished as Max pulled a small lever under his desk alerting the school, releasing them all for an indefinite time.
Most students left thankful for a break. Others knew what the alarm really had met. Teachers rushed to maxes office and saw max with a long dark blade threw the opposing side where his heart was. Whoever had sent dusk wanted max dead. But that's something dusk knew he couldn't do. He could injure him but max would be useful to him.
One of the light elements started to heal his wound as Mis Deathro slowly pulled the blade out.
Max woke in the infirmary, he couldn't recall what had happened after he had alerted the school.
Lidia: Your an idiot.
He looked her direction and gave her a pathetic smile. She leaned back in her chair.
Max: It's alright babe.
He expected her to lash out with her common response but she didn't. He sat up concerned
Max: Lidia? Are you Alright?
Lidia: You could have died.
Max: But I didn't.
Lidia: That doesn't' t matter. You could have.
Max saw her face mixed with different emotions and realized he had caused this. Slowly he got up and pressed his forehead against the top of her head.
Max: I'm sorry.
