Ch.30 Fate

The next day at school, Rachel sat on a bench in the hallway watching the students go by as she thought about Jackson and Holt.

"Rachel" she turned just as her boyfriend Andy sat next to her.

"Hey" she said with a little sigh.

"You thinking about Jackson and Holt?"

"I just hope that Jackson did the right thing" she sighed "I mean he's been with Holt inside of him his whole life, and now they're separated."

"Well, it has made their lives hard."

"I know but, separating yourself from your 'bad' side was a pretty big risk, and I hope Jackson really is okay with that, because having Holt as his alter ego is what made his unique."

"I understand" Andy sighed "I mean, being a so called normie in a monster world sounds hard, but being able to transform into this duel personality is what made him stand out."

"I can see why Frankie fell for him" Rachel said with a small smile.

"Who's Frankie?"

"She was this girl, or should I say monster who Jackson really liked, but so did Holt."

"Oh" he said surprised "That doesn't sound good."

"It wasn't, and because of that, he kinda fought against himself until she said that she wont be with either of them until they get along."

"Well did they?"

"I don't know, I spent most of my time at Ever After High that I sometimes miss out on gossip from the monster world."

"Well, maybe they-".

"Hey Cupid" Holt suddenly came up to them "Have you seen Jackson?"

"Jackson?" she said "Why he's not here?"

"Well he was suppose to meet me in the Science Lad today, but he never showed up."

"Well that's odd, he usually shows up on time, did you try calling him?"

"I did, and texting him, but he never replied."

"Okay this isn't like Jackson, why don't you ask Dr. Jekyll, and if he hasn't seen him, we'll go look for him after school."

"Alright then."

"And uh, how are things going with you two?"

"Well, would you be surprised if I said that we're teaming up to stop my father?"

"Really?" she said surprised.

"Yeah, but we can't do it until I find him."

"Well we'll look for him after school, but I'm sure he's okay."

But at the Storybrooke Dock, inside on a boat that rested in the water near the dock, Jackson sat in a chair as he watched as Mr. Hyde examined the serum that was still in the test tube.

"Fascinating serum don't you think?" he asked Jackson "Kinda stupid for your father to allow you to carry it with you."

"What are you gonna do with that anyway?" Jackson asked with a frown.

"That's for me to know, and you not to know."

"You know you'll never get away with this."

At that point Hyde gave a chuckle.

"You sound just like your father" he said "And if you really think that, watch me. Now if you would excuse me, I have some errands to run."

And with that he went out from the room as Jackson heard the door lock. Now stuck inside a boat, he knew that he either had to wait to be rescued, or rescue himself.

As soon as school was over, Elena, Mira, Brooke, Terrence, and Jasmine made their way into the woods as they followed Elena who had drank the locator potion.

"We're getting close" she announced "It's like we're connected."

Just then she suddenly got a strong feeling inside her as she turned her head.

"This way" she pointed as they followed her.

Pretty soon they found themselves below the ground in an underground cave as they used their flashlights down the dark hall until they came upon a room that had skeletons inside of concrete shelves on the wall.

"It's this place" Elena stopped "He's here."

"Here?" Mira said surprised "We're directly under the cemetery, in some kind of forgotten-".

"Crypt" Jasmine finished with a worried look "This is a crypt, Aladdin can't be here."

She then turned to Elena.

"You must of made some kind of mistake" she told her.

"I don't think so" Elena said with a sad look.

"Why don't we wait outside?" Terrence suggested Jasmine "While they look around."

"No" Jasmine declared as he turned to Elena "Give me that."

Elena handed her her flashlight as Jasmine used it to examine the skeletons. But when she came to a certain skeleton, she spotted something that caught her eye. Near the skeleton's hand was the scarab charm that she had given Aladdin. Knowing the truth, she felt her heart break as she burst into tears.

"Jasmine" Elena said with a worried look.

"You were right" Jasmine sniffed "He is here."

"Are you sure that's Aladdin?" Mira asked.

"Yes" Jasmine sniffed as she showed them the scarab charm "I gave him this back in Agrabah."

And with that she started to sob.

"I'm so sorry" Mira said sadly as she comforted her.

At that point Brooke noticed that Elena's face showed shock and sadness.

"Elena" she said with a worried look "Does this mean...?"

"I-" Elena said nervously "I don't know. I think I need to be alone for a bit."

So with that Mira started to lead Jasmine out who was still sobbing with the scarab charm clutched in her hand. As everyone started to head out, Terrence stopped as he turned back to Elena who had her back turned to him. Knowing that there was nothing to be done to save her, he felt his heart break as he followed everyone out.

Now alone, Elena felt her eyes water as she thought about her future, now that she knew that all Saviors really do die, her mind was going crazy. She then looked at her hand as it started to shake, she used her other hand to grab onto it to make it stop. But she knew there was nothing she can do, the end of her story was coming soon, and she knew her fate was to die.

She had no idea what to do, there was nothing that can change her fate. She didn't know when it was coming, but she did know that her story will soon come to an end, she will have to die.
