I screamed at the sudden voice, swinging around with my hands on fire. I quickly extinguished them as I saw who it was.

Maui was looking at me with a concerned look on his face. "You okay?"

"Yep, never been better." I said sarcastically. "Met a bunch a' demons. Almost got eaten. Have no energy walking into some monster's lair. Yeah I'm FINE, MAUI!" I rose my voice to a shout near the end.

He clapped a hand over my mouth. "SHHH!" He said to me. "Tamatoa is around here somewhere..." Maui looks at the large pile of gold, his fishook resting on the top.

"I'm gonna just walk up and get it." I walked forward confidently.

"Oh, no. You're staying here." The demigod behind me grabs my arm, swinging me around to sit on the ground.

I huffed indignantly. "Fine."

"Thank you, Ayda." Maui said, kissing my cheek sweetly before walking confidently into the cave.

I put my hand on my cheek, blushing. I heard cracking noises, like something crusted-on was being pulled apart.

"Well, well, well." A voice said.

I tensed, peeking around the corner. Maui was standing in front of a huge crustacean, his arms crossed. "Gimme my hook back Tamatoa." He said. "Or do you want me to rip off another of your legs?"

He ripped off one of his legs?! I thought.

Suddenly Tamatoa's claw came down, cleaving the sand where Maui was just standing. Maui had moved quickly to stand on Tamatoa's back, gripping his fish hook.

"It's MAUI TIME!" He shouted dramatically.
