"Fine, fine." Maui said grumpily, rubbing his ear like it hurt. I scoffed. I knew it couldn't have hurt him. He was a demigod.
I swung the oar over my shoulder threateningly, eyes wide. Maui put his hands up in surrender and walked towards the canoe. I clicked open the bracelet on my wrist, pulling out the green Heart. I stared at the spirals, transfixed.
"Little girl!" Maui yelled, exasperated. "I thought you wanted me to come with you." He was standing in the boat, actually bending the starboard side into the waves.
"Yeah, I'm coming." I replied.
As I sat down in the prow of the canoe, I looked at the tiller, then all the other different ropes that lined the small vessel's deck. I was completely unsure of anything at this point.
"Well? Are you going to open the sail so we can get going or not?" Maui prompted, his hand slightly inching towards a rope attached to the sail bar. I blushed at being so inferior and grabbed the offending rope, pulling the sail open and tying it to the tiller.
And we were off, speeding across the waves in the way we should have been from the start.

I hear a lot of you saying that this is just the movie in writing, but it will change soon, I promise.
