( Yay! Chapter 15 Everyone! )

The moon was just edging over the lip of the horizon when I woke again as if I had been slapped awake.

Lying next to me was Maui, one huge arm draped over me. I was surprised. Did he honk I was going to bite him in his sleep or something?

Tch. A real wayfinder never falls asleep. The Ocean murmured.

I turned towards the wave. "Ocean, may I ask a question?"

Anything, my child.

"Why did you call me your daughter earlier?" I asked tentatively. I had heard the conversation through my delirious state of mind, and was actually curious now.

Because you are. Ayda Waialiki, you may be the biological daughter of Moana and Kae Waialiki ( RIP Radio's spelling ) but your heart has always yearned to be with me. To me, you are my daughter. And I am like a mother to you, no?

I smiled warmly at the wave. "You are, Ocean. I would even go so far as to say... You are better, by far, than my real Mama."

Maui gave you a kind of godly tonic, my last bottle, to cute you of your Carnivorous Ailment. Do you know what it has done to you?

"No, not exactly. I feel stronger, in a way. I feel like it I had to, I could row this canoe all the way to... wherever Maui is taking me to find his fishook..." I said slowly.

Ayda... You are a demigoddess. The demigoddess, in fact, of the Elements.

My eyes widened in shock and disbelief. "I can't be. I'm just a normal girl..."

Try, child. Imagine the water in that sail spilling out.

I looked at the sail, where a pool of water from the storm from the other night was pooling. I raised my right hand and lifted it slightly. The water rose up, trickling out of the sail in a fast stream.

The aftereffects left me drained. I collapsed next to Maui, landing hard on the canoe deck.
