Ayda's POV

I woke up in a haze, snapping into a sitting position with a gasp.

"Hey Sleeping Beauty!" Maui's voice shouted.

I looked to my left and my right. There was no one on the boat. "Maui?" I ask, confused, "Where are you?"

"Up here!"

I instantly look up and see that Maui is standing on the mast, looking behind the boat. "How was your nap, Princess? Cuz s real wayfinder never sleeps."

"Wayfinder?" I asked.

"Don't tell me you sailed all the way here without knowing what wayfinding is!?" Maui said, faking fear.

"Cut it out and tell me what it is!" I demanded. "I must know!"

"Ooo, pushy Princess!" Maui mocks, smirking.

"I'm not a Princess!" I argue. "I'm the daughter of the village chieftess."

"Eh, same thing."

I roll my eyes. "So what is wayfinding, genius?"

"Wayfinding, Princess, is knowing where you are by knowing where you've been."

"Teach me!" I said eagerly.

"Hmm I don't know..." He pretends to think. "I'll do it. But only if you give me something in return."

"And what do you want?" I ask, looking way up at him.

"A kiss." He smirks. I blush hard, nodding.

"Deal."

"Well first lesson. Climb the mast so I can have my payment fir teaching you how to wayfind."

I scrambled up the mast quickly, standing across from Maui, balanced precariously on the edge of the straight wooden pole.

He leaned down carefully, kissing me. I'd be lying if I said I didn't kiss him back.

"Okay..." I said, pulling away. "Now teach me!"

Maui pouted adorably at me, but I held my ground. "Maybe you'll get a kiss when you return the Heart."

Maui grumbled. "If I had known that I would have taken it back the second you came to the island."

I smirked at him. "So, teacher, TEACH!"
