Andy took Madeline's hand in his own.

"Everything will be okay," he said, reassuring her.

Madeline nodded her head but not quite believing him. She had a feeling that this wouldn't go over well, and Andy must've sensed her tension because he gave her hand a little squeeze.

"Come on. They're waiting for us."

Andy and Madeline walked out of Andy's room. Madeline tried to walk slow, but she knew prolonging the inevitable was no use. She just had to suck it up and take whatever information she was going to get tonight.

As they walked through the halls and down the stairs to the all-too-familiar basement, they came upon Alex and Dylan sitting at the table Madeline sat at days before. Dylan's hands were cuffed in front of him. Madeline guessed he must've hurt one of the guards to get chained up. Alex sat there anxiously looking between Dylan and Andy.

Madeline sat down at the table across from Alex and Dylan, Andy taking the seat next to her.

"You all know why you're here, so I won't waste time with introductions and pointless summaries of what happened. Dylan, your sister got out tonight, unbeknownst to me, and managed to kill five of the residents here. Being her brother, you are the number one suspect in this mystery." Andy looked at Dylan. "I could look into your mind to see whether or not you did it, but I don't invade people's mind unless it's absolutely necessary. Unlike most of the others here, though, you have seemed to have gained a.. strength, as you will, against my telepathy. Your mind is a little harder to get into than most, and I know why you built that wall," he paused. "I don't blame you."

The whole time Andy talked, Dylan glared at him from across the table, not saying a word until now.

"I didn't let her out," he said through clenched teeth. "I know she's a danger to herself and others."

Andy leaned back into his chair, not at all uncomfortable or intimidated by the situation or people.

Madeline listened carefully to what they were saying until something came up.

"Wait! I know who did it!"

Andy looked at Madeline, shocked, eyebrows raised.

"You do? Why didn't you say something sooner?"

"I-I guess I just wasn't thinking about who let her out, but instead I was thinking about the situation itself and why Dylan... Darcy.." Madeline's voice trailed off as she looked at her friend.

"Okay, then who was it?" Andy sat back up in his chair and leaned closer to Madeline, putting a hand on her shoulder.

Seeing that, Dylan growled at Andy.

Andy looked back to Dylan and sighed, removing his hand from Madeline's shoulder.

Madeline shook her head.

"It was... It was Lieutenant Jay... He tried to create a diversion for you," she looked to Andy, "so you would be preoccupied while he locked me up somewhere... It was in his room, but it was like a safe. Like a giant money safe or something... Luckily a guard came, and the lieutenant walked away with him. I ran out then tripped and fell, and then Alex and Dylan pulled me away from the wolf..."

Alex, who was quiet this whole time, let out a loud and angry noise.

"UGH! I KNEW it was him! That filthy scumbag!" She slammed her fists down on the table, causing it to shudder.

Madeline nodded.

"He... He'll come back for me!" She looked panicked and turned to Andy.

"Don't worry. I'll do something about it."
