"The people we surround ourselves with either raise or lower our standards. They either help us to become the-best-version-of-ourselves or encourage us to become lesser versions of ourselves. We become like our friends. No man becomes great on his own. No woman becomes great on her own. The people around them help make them great.
We all need people in our lives who raise our standards, remind us of our essential purpose, and challenge us to become the-best-version-of-ourselves."

Essentially, we /are/ the people we surround ourselves with. It defines our character and how we think of others. In life friends come and go, but genuine friendships have memories that last a life-time. I'd like to think that I surround myself with people who assist me in becoming the great woman I've always imagined myself as. Through watching the stars with past lovers and picking dandelions with current comrades I've realized that life is simply a journey of self-discovery. In the wise words of the unknown; Friend, because of you I laugh a little harder, cry a little less, and smile a lot more. Here's to the future.
