Alex's POV
The word 'humiliation' can't even begin to describe what I was feeling. Asher had no moral bounds; the bastard. One just simply does not throw one's brother over their shoulder. No matter how painfully slow said injured brother was being.
Asher threw me down unto the couch of Mable's living room and left. Like he was never there.
I sighed and pulled myself up by the crutches. I hobbled back to my bedroom and threw myself onto the bed; temporarily wallowing in self-pity. I must have fallen asleep, because the next thing I know, Asher had basically knocked down my door.
"Ready for a little fun?" He asked, barging in unannounced.
"Knowing you, I should just back away slowly," I said, feeling wary.
His face filled with a mix of expression that ended with an evil smile. Before I had time to react, he reached for my crutches, and held them above his head; I couldn't reach them.
"Now you can't, smart one," Asher teased.
I sighed in annoyance and tried to think of a way out. I couldn't. At least, I couldn't think of a reasonable answer. Like unicorns saving me.... (What? I didn't think that...pssshhh...)
"Fine."
"Yay!" he yelled and made a grab towards me. I ended up over his shoulder again.
"ASHER!" I yelled.
"It's faster this way," I'm gonna kill the Baka.
I kept my silence as Asher carried me, like a troll, to his new toy car. He must have played rough with it. The chrome painting on the side had been scraped. I smirked. Asher probably threw a fit over that. Like the little boy his is.
I thought of all of the possible reason for him to bring me here, then decided that it was best just to ask.
"What the heck are you doing?" I said, then narrowed my eyes at the nave. Then I noticed a slight sway in his gait. "Are you drunk? Do this."
I just had to conduct the high class coordination thingy where you touch your fingertips to your thumb in order, saying, "1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1."
He repeated it back to me. "1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 1." all the while, rolling his eyes in an exasperated manner, seeming to be very irritated.
"Okay," I breathed, believing that my delinquent bro hadn't drunk anything intoxicating, "I can't drive."
"Driving only requires one leg, dumbass."
I scowled at him, and he scowled back, not blinking. I'm not completely sure what happened next, but Asher started to stare at me with this strange look. Then, I realized that we were having a staring contest. I lost.
"Ugh," I moaned, "Fine."
Asher smiled wider, and slammed my driver's side door, rattling the whole car. Asher put my crutches between us and gave me the keys. I took them, and started the car. It woke with an even roar. With a sense of appending doom, I put it in gear and backed out, using my other leg.
We pulled out of the long driveway, and Asher somehow managed to produce another baseball bat.
Did he work part time a field of something?!?
"Where do you get this stuff?!" I screeched, looking momentarily away from the road.
"Places," he answered. "A magician never reveals his secrets, small one."
I rolled my eyes and shook my head. Boy, he could really annoy the fuck out of me. See? Now, I'm swearing.
Asher leaned out the window, drew back his arm, and swung with all his might at the nearest mailbox.
Clink!
I could just barely see a bent mailbox falling to the ground, out of the corner of my eyes. As another Clink sounded, I heard Asher's yelp of pain. There was a small popping noise and a gasp of agony.
"Asher, what did you do?" I asked, concern lancing my voice.
He just shook his head and rearranged his grip on the bat. Once again, he stuck half of his person outside the window and swung.
Clink!
________five miles of mailboxes later______________
"Oh, shite!" Asher yelled as lights flashed behind us.
"What's the matter?" I asked, panic filling my tone.
"It's the police! Drive faster!" Asher banged his hands on the dashboard.
"Hell no!" I started to pull over.
"Stop!" Asher grabbed the wheel from my and swerved to the side.
"You MotherF******!" I shrieked as we hit a curb and went into someone's lawn.
Asher, having admittedly good reflexes, maneuvered us back onto the road. After hitting serval garden gnomes, that is. I slammed my good foot down on the breaks as soon as the tires of the car hit pavement. The wheels spun and the Camaro screeched. We swerved slightly and came to a stop.
The police car that was following us, pulled up beside Asher's vehicle.
The young, early thirties looking officer peered into the window that I had rolled down.
"Problem, sir?" I asked, using my 'innocent' voice. Hey, it's gotten me out tons of other close calls.
The man lifted a brow, "Problem? I'll say, you've destroyed private property and resisted arrest. Vandalism is bad, kids. Very bad."
He began to lecture.
"But-" started Asher, "We didn't resist arrest, see we pulled over."
The man seemingly had his eyebrows glued to a raised posisition, "How is driving through someone's yard to get away not resisting arrest?"
"Ummm," Asher looked at me for help.
I just shrugged. He was screwed.
"Would please step out of the car, sons?" the policeman feigned politeness.
My brother sighed and shuffled out of the car. As soon as he had left and shut the door, I was off like a bullet. I pressed hard down unto the gas and went around 95 miles an hour. I did a U-turn and headed to Mable's.
Later, I felt so incredibly stupid about this. But, at the time, I believed it to be the best choice.
I really was stupid.

Asher's POV
As my brother spun away, kicking up dust, I turned to the Fuzz.
He was purple in the face.
I did a small, sheepish wave of my hand.
"Hi," I whispered.
