Alex's POV

"So, Alex, what are you doing for Christmas?" Lexi asked, having followed me out of Char's.

"Christmas? Already? I thought it was still November," I said.

"Nope, its definitely December 19," Lexi looked at me like I was a psychopathic person of matter.

"Hmmm," I said, wondering how I could have missed that.

"Well, since you don't seem to be doing anything for a while, would you like to come to a play that some of my friends are putting on? Don't worry, the grumpy one called Ashley, who's flirtin' it up with your twin, won't be there. She's to much of a wet blanket for Christmas plays."

I laughed, thinking of my brother's sad attempts at flirting. He was way too good at trying to be smooth. Poor Ashley.

_______

"That girl totally liked you!" I exclaimed to my brother, thinking of how much this conversation would embarrass him.

He, of course, argued his case. (Totally won)

After explaining to Asher that we would not be sleeping in the car for x amount of days, I Googled a random hotel and Harvest Inn showed up. We drove there.

_______

Around noon the next day, I got dressed in a plain T-shirt and dark washed jeans that I had to go and buy another pair of, because Asher stole my original set.

I shoved Asher's wallet down my pocket and set out walking. I walked down a highway until I spotted a Senior Citizen Center/Public Library. This was the place that Lexi told me to meet up with her at. I walked into the building, reviling in the earthy scent of musty, old books.

"O-nay!" yelled a normal voice with an annoying undertone.

"Es-yay, Upid-stay," this was Lexi's voice, but it was all gibberish.

"Uo-yay are-hay upid-stay," this voice was naggy, too.

A moment later, I saw glasses go flying. I swear they had wings.

The girl who retrieved them was short. Nothing more. Oh, and she had blue hair.

She turned and saw me with wide, fully glassed eyes, "Oh, hi, you must be Alex. Lexi said you would be coming. Honestly, I figured she was hallucinating. Again... Anyways... LLLLLLEEEEEEXXXXXIIIII!!!!! Your boyfriend's here! Bye, boy who is probably Alex!"

I was tempted to tell her that my name wasn't Alex.

Lexi showed up behind the strange (hyperactive) girl. She hit her really hard upside the head. I winced as the girl crumpled to the ground holding her head and cry/laughing. Then, as if magically revived, she kicked Lexi, hard.

"Bye banana-bruiser! Hope it turns black!" Then she left.

Lexi held her leg up in the air and started dancing in circles, cursing with in an inch of her life. She was adorable.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

Lexi looked at me and her face went bright red; she slowly lowered her foot.

"I'm fine," she said, her eyes near the ground, then a few seconds later, I barely caught her mutter, "Fuck it. That bitch kicks really hard."

I smirked, "You swear way more then a lady should."

"Lady? Swearing?" that annoying undertone sounded from right behind me, "Are we defining Lexi?"

I jumped at the sound and spun on my heel. The short, blue one was back.
