Leelee P.O.V.
Kyrie and i walked into my mom's house still on a high from our short day of love. as soon as we walked into the house my mom had made her way out of the kitchen. usually, when we come back to see Aaliyah she would come running down the stairs to greet us but she wasn't this time which took me by surprise.
"where is Aaliyah?" I asked
"she's upstairs sleeping, I need to talk to your guy," she said a little uneasy as she walked towards the living room. we looked at each other confused before following behind her. we sat down on the couch next to each other as she sat across from us.
"wassup momma?"
"today i had a talk with Aaliyah.. and.... she feels as though shes not important to you guys anymore"
"wait? she said that ?" kyrie asked now very attentive.
"yea she feels as though you guys have more important things to do rather than spending time with her. she asked me if you guys could move in with me so that she could be able to spend more time with you guys so you guys wouldn't have to work to put a house over her head" she sighed.
i put my head in my hands as I tried my hardest to hold my tears in. its crazy how i took a good few years break on my music just so i wouldn't have to go through this and it still caught up to me.
"I'm quitting" I sighed as i sniffed and whipped the tear.
"what ?" Kyrie asked looking at me like i was crazy
"I'm just not gonna do my music anymore..."
"are you crazy, your still gonna sing Lee!" he yelled over me.
"did you not just hear what our daughter just admitted. she needs her parent's kyrie. it was one thing when you were on the road but for both of us i understand what she's coming from." i sighed.
"yea but I'm sure there is a way to work around this without you giving up what you love. you just got it back and i refuse for you to be what you've never wanted to be. a stay at home mom" he sighed rubbing his forehead.
"ill retire since ive been in my profession long enough" he sighed.
"NO! NO no... kyrie"
"Lee its only right"
"i know this is a family conversation but can i put some two cents in?" my mom asked. we put our attention on her given she was older and may give better insight.
"i say that yall both stay in your careers. and when you go on tour Lee you take Aliyah with you. she already takes after you in this singing career. so being exposed to it may inspire her more."
"but what about school?" I asked
"she can have her own tutor with her on the bus" Kyrie butted in as my mom nodded at him.
"and then when kyrie is on break her could fly where you're at and chill with you guys until he has to go back. she just needs to be shown that no matter what you guys will drop anything to spend time with her"
"that actually might work." we both nodded as Kyrie reached up whipping my tears.
" see everything dont need tears babe" he laughed. " we just got to talk it out " he laughed
"shut up " i said causing him and my momma to laugh.
