Four years later, Hailey "Leelee" Irving is now 23 married to her college sweetheart Kyrie Irving and took a break off of music to raise their 4-year-old daughter Aaliyah Asonté Irving. Life couldn't get any better.
But what happen's when...
I had caught the first flight home to go get my daughter and Kyrie thought it was okay to change the locks.
I banged on the door for what felt like the 100th time when he finally opened it and stepped out .
" can I help you ?" He asked
" why are you doing this Kyrie ? "
" lee you know why I'm doing this." He sighed
" all I did was voice my opinion. That didn't mean you had to try to start a war with me over our daughter. I wasn't trynna get a divorce or even take your daughter from you , so you doing this to me is like a slap in the face"
" Hailey you blatantly said you didn't want to be with me meaning the next step would be divorce." He said in a duh tone
" I just wanted us to take a break. Step away and see if this was what we really wanted. I didn't want to just jump into a divorce yet." I said hating the word as it came out my mouth.
" what do you mean if this is what we want ? When I fought for you Lee that's when you should have seen that this was what I wanted, you were what I wanted--"
" I was afraid " I blurted out cutting him off.
" OF WHAT!?" He yelled getting annoyed
" of you doing it again. Of me not being supportive enough, loving enough... there enough. I was afraid you'd realize that just maybe you weren't made to be with a working women and you'd want to settle with a girl that can be there for you in every move in your career" I whined .
He sighed and shook his head as he looked anywhere but at me .
" honestly Lee... I think I agree with you." He sighed leaning on the door.
" what do you mean ?"
" maybe we should .. I don't know, explore. See if this is what we really want." He sighed
" I spill out my heart and my fear to you and say we should see if this is what we really want ? You just give up on me on us ?"
" isn't that the same thing you did yesterday ?" He asked challenging her
" It's different I was looking out for you , but t seems right now your looking out for yourself !" I softly yelled.
" what do you want me to do ? Your basically saying you don't believe I love you and you don't trust that Ima stay with you " he shrugged
" as far as Liyah goes. I'll let you take custody of her, I don't want to have to force the courts into this mess and then I'm on shade room and the tabloids. Sooo I'll just come get her every weekend " he said as he opened the door and stepped in .
" ALIYAH !" He yelled in the house .
" yes daddy?" She asked
" your moms here" he waved for me to come in. Once I stepped in and closed the door he made his way into the living room with me hot on his trail . "
" MOMMY !" Aliyah yelled as she ran to my legs and hugged them. I was soo happy to see her I picked her up swinging her around as I placed kisses all over her face.

" okay mommy okay " she giggled .
" Aliyah mommy and I have something to talk to you about " he said as he sat down on the couch. I looked over at him with big eyes and he shrugged with no readable emotion on his face.
" what ? Am I getting a puppy?!!" She asked excitedly .
" no come here " he waved her over .
She sighed as she dragged herself over to her father and stood between his legs .
" mommy and I have decided that we are gonna spend some time apart for a few .." he said looking straight at her as she played with the bracelet on his arm.
"Because Mommy is going back on tour ? " she asked innocently .
" no , just mommy and I haven't been friendly with each other and we think it's best if she lives somewhere and I live somewhere else for a few " he said trying to simply break it down to her .
" so where am I going to live ?" She asked now looking from me to her dad.
" where ever you want honey " I said butting in.
She looked up at me and then at her dad as she placed her hand on her chin. " this is hard ..I don't want you guys to hate me for picking the other " she frowned.
I sat down on the couch beside Kyrie .
" we ain't hate you baby, you can still see the other parent on the weekends " I informed her .
She automatically smiled .
" okay, well I wanna live with daddy" she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck, not knowing she had broke my heart in two. I was the only one that heard it.
I quickly stood up.
" okay baby " I said as I held my tears back. I made sure I had my keys in hand .
" well I'll text you" I quickly said as I made my way putt of the house . Kyrie chased after me and before I could get in my car he grabbed my arm.
" lee I'm sorry "
" it's fine " j said whipping my tears.
" you showed how bad you wanted her when you took her from me and came here. And now you got her . The best parent won right ?" I said giving off a forced smile and hopping in the renter car I got got and sped off.
I felt like my whole world was falling apart. Stating with my husband cheating on me, then me pushing him away enough that he thought the best thing to do was stop fighting for me, and now my own daughter didn't want to live with me.
I started speeding down the street as he tears just kept falling and I kept feeling my heart break each time I heard my daughters voice repeatedly in my head .
" I wanna live with daddy" " I wanna live with daddy"
I wasn't a good enough parent for her. I wasn't fun and nice. I wasn't the top pick over a man that was always on the road and never even came to not one of her recitals .
But I was there from row, yet he's still the one that won her heard in the end .
I took my hand off the steering wheel from my eyes being blurry. I.m whipped then .. just as my vision got better all I saw was as SUV speeding towards the side of my car beeping their horn.
Next thing I felt was a sharp pain & everything went black.
