Epilogue

     Once things settled down again in Magnolia I found myself sitting in my old room watching the rain fall outside my window. So much has changed since I first came to this wondrous world. I've met so many talented and brilliant people. I cant remember what it was like not knowing Gray and the others, Mainly Mavis.

    I sigh as I lean against the window sill, since I came back I felt like a rift had formed between us. Which makes sense, I bet shes still beating herself up about sending me away. I forgave her but I think she hasn't forgiven herself. what am I going to do? I wonder leaning my head against the cool glass. how could I possibly tell her I'm not mad?

    There was a sudden knock at my door which jarred me from my thoughts. "come in" I speak loud enough for whoever is outside to hear. In came Mavis, looking as stunning as ever. but there was something on her mind. "whats up?" I ask her.

    She didn't look up at me, "Zero......" she started.

     "don't start this again," I chuckle, "how many times do I have to tell you, you're forgiven?" I walk over to her wrapping my arms around her but she back peddles as I reach out for her which really made me worried. "whats wrong....?"

    "I have something very important to tell you...." I nod getting serious, sitting on the edge of my bed sitting up straight. "alright. tell me, I promise whatever it is I can handle it.

    She stood in front of me arms clasped together in front of herself. "there is a secret of fairy tail... one that only masters of the guild are privy to." I gulp as she pauses, "and I want to tell you... no I need to tell you....."

    "I'm all ears Mavis. you can tell me." I say surprising myself at how confident I have become.

     "you see, when I died, I didn't actually die for the most part.... I was suspended in stasis in a giant lacrema. due to how severe this war was they wanted me at full strength so....."

    "they freed you from it, I take it" I finish her thought causing her head to jerk and look at me shocked that I figured, "all I want to know, are you OK?"

"w-well yea, my body is at 100%-" she started.

"then that's all I need to know." I stand up walking back over to her this time succeeding in getting my hands around her small frame, "that just means we don't have to sneak you into a movie theater after all." I tease.

    She looks up at me confused at what I said. "don't you remember? I promised you when we found a way to get me back home I would take you to a movie.Now we can." I kiss the top of her head, finally she wrapped her arms around me

"alright."

    We were walking through the heart of Vancouver, I chose going there instead of Tokyo because it was first and foremost English speaking to make it easier on Mavis. The second reason, I was homesick. I may not see eye to eye,  but Canada is still my home. we decided the best choice of action was get a hotel room first, which wasn't too hard now that I could just make money, sure I felt bad but I wasn't going to let anything ruin tonight. She deserved this after all.

    Once we were checked in, we walked to the local cinema, not much peeked my interest but she saw a romance movie poster and gave me the a look that said she wasn't going to take no for an answer, I chuckled rubbing her back and getting us two tickets for it. The movie was alright, I guess. Mavis thought it was the best thing in the world and didn't hold back on telling me afterwards. We found ourselves in a park on the edge of town. overlooking the oceanfront. The sun had just started to set as we sat down beside each other. we let out a lighthearted sigh as she leaned against my shoulder.

    "Hey Zero?" she spoke her words softly eyes completely glued on the beautiful sunset we got to witness.

    "yeah?" I reply placing my hand gently on hers.

    She nuzzled her head into my shoulder, "thank you for bringing me here..... and I'm so-"

    I cut her off by tilting her head towards me, pressing my lips gently across hers for a quick peck causing her to blush profusely. "no apologizing tonight, got it?"

     She brought a hand up to her lips pressing against where mine just were, "g-got it." she stuttered.

     "good" I bent in again, this time she closed her eyes in anticipation, but at the last second I brushed my lips gently across her cheek instead, Her eyes shot open giving me a pouty look. "we have plenty of time for that. don't worry your pretty little head." I smile gently as ruffle her hair gently.

    It was well past night fall when we found ourselves back in our hotel room. I had flopped down on our bed letting out a sigh of relief to have such a comfortable bed as Mavis found her way to the window. "this world has so much to see! I don't think Ill ever find a day where I don't find something new and exciting." she stood there in awe at the sky line and the city aglow from all the lights. I roll over to take a look at her, shes standing there completely lost in thought. Her body basking in the moonlight, everything about her seemed to be covered in an ethereal glow. I slowly got up from my spot and walked over to her silently. The entire time Her eyes never wavered from the window.

    I slowly wrapped my arms around her burying my face into the crook of her neck. She let out a small eep when my lips found their way to her skin, once she realized that it was me she relaxed into me letting out a long breath of enjoyment from the feeling. I wrapped one arm slowly around her, while wrapping the other over her chest holding onto her shoulder completely enveloping her into my embrace. I continued to kiss up and down her neck, she even leaned her head to the side giving me more area to pepper with kisses.

    I slowly spun her around pushing her gently against the cool glass, making her jump slightly, I slowly kissed down her collar bone, each kiss being gentle and loving, This made her giggle breathlessly. "z-Zero...." She stuttered cutely letting out a small mewl. I picked her up slowly in my arms bridal style, she instantly draped her arms around my neck nuzzling her head into it kissing me gently. I smiled gently slowly making our way over to the bed. I could tell she was nervous, hell, I was too. I laied her gently down on the queen sized bed she quickly curled up looking up at me with those innocent eyes of her.

    "Mavis?" I asked a little shy about what I'm about to ask her.

    "what is it Zero?"

    "I just want to know....." I gulp, "h-how far do you want to go with tonight.....?" I placed my hand gently onto hers.

   She seemed thoughtful for a while before intertwining her hand with mine, "I-I don't know in all honesty, lets see how this night goes shall we?" she smiles tenderly at me. I nod bringing her hand up to my cheek pushing into it making her caress my cheek, making her giggle softly before I slowly shifted onto the bed hovering over the blonde beauty. I bend down to kiss her gently, she kissed back tenderly as I pressed my body gently against hers. The Innocence of the kiss slowly gave way to the need for more, Before I knew what was happening our clothes were strewn about the room. Our breaths becoming ragged, our insatiable need to get closer, The last thing I remember before loosing myself into the pleasure was Mavis' tender voice uttering the words that sent me over the edge. "I love you."

    The two of us were breathing heavily. I was on my back Mavis was curled up into my chest tracing random shapes onto my chest, I felt her shiver slightly making me reach down laying a blanket over the two of us. She looked up at me with her big emerald eyes her hair matted to her with a small layer of sweat. I reached out slowly brushing her hair out of her face, letting my hand slowly slide down the side of her face till I was cupping her cheek in my hand, She let a tired smile cross her lips, I leaned in and kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep. I stroked her hair gently relaxing into the bed a smile crossing my lips. I don't think I'll ever be unhappy again, now that I have my fairy princess at my side.
