***Several hours earlier***

I woke up feeling like a new man, I felt like I could take on the world. I got out of bed and put on a pair of sleek black pants, a plain white button up shirt as well as my riders jacket. Even without my bike I still wore it. I felt like today was the day, the day I could go back to see them. I called up Takeshi to let him know I'm going to try it again, and set up a time to meet him at the usual place.

I beat him there like usual and got to work, The one thing i learned about my powers was that it was physically taxing on me. So in order to train my magic, I needed to get in physical shape. I was lanky when I started training, even though it had only been a few weeks since I started pushing a lot harder than I knew I should have, I had gained a bit of muscle mass. My stomach had a gentle tone to it now, no where near a six pack but you could see the muscle now underneath.

I went into the open area of the derelict warehouse and started doing a few reps of push ups. My mind was a million miles away, I knew deep down Fairy tail was in trouble. Even though I trust in everyone's abilities there was still that voice in the back of my head nagging at me to get a move on. Too bad that voice had a cute face and twin tails to boot. She sat across from me at the moment. Silently observing, which was weird because usually she would nag me about my form or something stupid. I didn't let her solemn expression get the better of me as I sat up grabbing several pieces of paper getting my gear together.

When I wasn't training or excising, I was surfing the web trying to figure out what type of armor or weapons I should make. Since I never learned how to use my magic to defend my body against incoming attacks I had to focus on a more practical approach to the problem. I ended up going with something my gamer friends suggested and started making the armor from the halo series, I think those that used it were called odst. It was meant to be light weight but also be able to take a beating. The joints were a little under protected but it was better than most, and the helmet, let me hide who I really was, just in case My presence caused any of my friends to loose focus because of my sudden re appearance. as for the offensive options, I made a few grenades and fit them in the front few pouches with a few clips for a pistol. As I slowly put it on she finally spoke.

"I know the dreams you have been having." she spoke quietly, looking away from me.

All I gave was a grunt of affirmation, trying to keep myself focused on what was in front of me.

    "if that is-"

"not another word, she's alive, I know it and so do you." I spoke, my voice gruff trying to keep all the emotions I was feeling inside of me, I was scared. Scared as all hell, never once did I ever think I was going to wake up one day and jump into a potential war zone, I thought maybe be a courier or something mundane like that, but this, It had my stomach in knots. What Zera was saying wasn't helping the situation. Could I really make a difference? If Natsu and the gang couldn't handle what was being thrown at them what was I supposed to do?

Just as I started down that rabbit hole I heard the main door to the warehouse open, I looked behind me to see Takeshi panting softly as he most likely ran here. "you didn't have to run here you know?" I tell him, though my voice was emotionless.

"trust me" He puffs out, "I needed to." He walks over to me trying to catch his breath. "you look nice" He smirked.

"thanks...."

He placed his hand gently on my shoulder, "no matter what happens, you're coming back right?" He asked me.

All I could manage was a nod. I stood up and dawned my helmet. I squared my body up holding my hands out in front of me focusing on the steel bar on the ground, I pictured in my head the city of Magnolia, Its long streets, The massive cathedral, and of course, The Fair Tail Guild hall. I felt my magic course through me as the bar slowly started to take shape into a doorway, I could feel my own power draining and the door slowly starting to loose form, damn it so close, I thought cursing myself. That's when I felt Zera's hand intertwine with mine, It felt like I was zapped by a car battery and the doorway became solid. I looked over at her and she had a gentle smile on her face.

I looked back at Takeshi as he gave me the thumbs up. I chuckled a little bit inside as I walked up to it and placed my gloved hand on it, "it's real" I heard myself say

"all because of you, no go get 'em tiger!" I heard Him yell from behind me. I slowly pushed the door open, The doorway was a brilliant white light, I could see nothing on the other side of it. I took a deep breath mumbling under my breath, "nothing ventured...." As I step through to find out what awaited me on the other side.

    ***Present time***

I stood on a roof top, at first it took me a second to get my footing. As soon as I knew I wasn't going to loose my vantage point, It was about mid day, I looked around me and found that I was in the middle of Magnolia, just a stone through from the Cathedral. All around me was people fighting. I couldn't make out single faces but I could feel the flurry of Magic, And if I focused I could sense Natsu in the thick of it all. I chuckled looking out at the sea of mages fighting for their home. That's when I felt the urge to look at the Cathedral. There, before my eyes stood Mavis analyzing everything going on around her. And beside her was Warren. That's how shes organizing everyone, I thought. Warrens Telepathy to have instantaneous communication. That's when she noticed me, I think at the distance we were at she wouldn't be able to recognize me on a good day let alone with all the armor I wore. That's when I noticed an unnatural shadow cross the town.

I looked up to see a massive floating ship, it was at least twice the size of The ship from Blue Pegasus. I knew it didn't belong to anyone from Fiore because of the sheer dread that crossed Mavis' face. I took a deep breath, I knew I could make maybe 8 more things before I passed out so I had to make them count. 1. I pulled out a piece of metal and started forming it into a rpg, I hope that it has enough fire power to knock that thing out of the sky in one hit, though I highly doubt it. I raised my final product onto my shoulder lining up my target, I held for as long as I could finally noticing its engine come into view. I let loose the rocket and watched as it sailed through the air releasing a loud whoosh. It connected perfectly the ear splitting thunder that came afterwards though most likely made everyone that was engaged in combat pause for a moment.

I watched as the ship shuddered and slowly started to fall from its perch in the sky. I suppressed a cheer knowing more work had to be done. I tossed the used launcher to the side finding my way off the roof. I knew today was going to be a long day.
