I can't promise you that we will never get lost in the darkness, or that we will be happy the whole time

I can't promise you that we'll never fight or that we will never be angry with one another

I can't promise you that we will never cry heart broken tears or that we will never hurt

I can't promise that every day will be perfect or that life will be easy

But I can promise you my devotion, my loyalty, my respect

I can promise you that I'll see you through any crisis, and dream with you, build with you, always cheer you on, and encourage you

I can promise that I'll willingly be your protector, your adviser, your therapist, your counselor,

I can promise I will be your friend, your family, your everything

I promise you
