The Crystal Waters

The air in my lungs dissipated

The crystal waters had me infatuated

People would say I should have been intimidated

The clear blues and reflected hues had me fascinated

Air! My lungs begged as I sank further down and my body became weighted

I smiled, tasting the salt on my tongue

All the pain and sadness had evaporated

Really, it was never all that complicated

My life for freedom, it was everything I had anticipated
