The air in my lungs dissipated
The crystal waters had me infatuated
People would say I should have been intimidated
The clear blues and reflected hues had me fascinated
Air! My lungs begged as I sank further down and my body became weighted
I smiled, tasting the salt on my tongue
All the pain and sadness had evaporated
Really, it was never all that complicated
My life for freedom, it was everything I had anticipated
