"Don't peek!" I said.

"How could I?" Maddie asked. "Ang higpit ng pagkakapiring mo sakin."

I laughed. "Wait for it, babe."

She stand still and waited for my signal. Been planning this for a month now. Ofcourse, with the help of my teammates too.

When I removed the blindfold, I saw her jaw dropped and puts her hand on her mouth. I know based on her reaction she liked it.

"Oh my god, babe!" She exclaimed. "Ang ganda!"

"All for you, babe." I said. "You liked it?"

"No, babe." She said. I frowned. "I loved it!"

I laughed at her reaction. I love it when she's smiling but I love it even more when she's laughing. She's one hell of a kind.

"Babe?" She called me. I looked at her. "‪You are so much more than "enough" for me.‬"

There's one thing I've learned in our love story. Fall in love with someone who can be your best friend and a lover at the same time. Who will spend the rest of the day with you, joking around, playing and laughing all day long. Who will accept all your flaws and love you even more with your inspites and despites.

"Happy Anniversary, babe!" Maddie said and gave me a hugged. "I love you."

"Thank you for being my everything. I will love you more than what you gave because that's the right thing to do." I said.

She blushed and chuckled. "Thank you for the best 8 years of my life, babe."

"Maddie, babe, baby.. I want you and only you. I will love you and only you. Please know that whatever happens, you have the best of me until the end. I know we have our tough times, but we can laugh about them naman. Just know that I will always be here and will support you with everything you do. I love you through anything and everything. I love you so much, Mads."

She was wiping her tears and hugged me tightly. "Babe, there's no words can describe how thankful and blessed I am eversince you came into my life. I am beyond happy. And I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. I love you. Always remember that. With all my heart and soul."

I hugged her. I am so truly, madly, deeply inlove with this girl. I love how she turned out to be the best choice I ever had to make. She wiped every hesitation down my face and drown me with her assurances and unconditional love. She's a blessing indeed.

"Babe, when we get older pa, would you agree on marrying me?" I asked her.

She looked at me. "Even if we don't get older na, I'll marry you."

"Would you break the rules?"

"I broke the rules, babe. You forgot?"

"Huh? When?"

"The moment I asked you to be mine.. exactly three years ago.."

"You really never fails to amaze me, babe."

"I am not Madeliene Madayag for nothing babe." She said and laughed.

I frowned. "So full of yourself eh?"

"Just stating the fact babe." She giggled

"Come," I said. "I wanna show you something."

She gave her hand and we walked down to go to our garden. We waited for a minute and she was shocked when she saw the fireworks.

I went to her back and hugged her. "Happy anniversary, babe."

"I love you, Bea."

"I love you too, Maddie."

"Bei, do you know that our relationship may not be a fairytale but an answered prayer?"

I nodded. "Yes. I can still clearly remember the nights I forced myself na I wouldn't fall for you."

She chuckled. "Yes, because you was blinded by the thought that I won't reciprocate all the love you can offer - a love as passionate and real deserves an equally passionate one in return."

"Hey, that's not true!" I said defensively. "I kept on complaining about the love I once had that felt so right but ended up so badly, it's just so strange how you can become ugly to someone who once thought all the stars were in your eyes."

"You really have hated the idea of being in love." She laughed.

I groaned. "Noooo. I was just so scared of being hurt again."

She looked at me. "And suddenly, when you were so busy building your walls, I knew then, it is you. It felt like heaven just opened and it's like a match made when I realized it's you I've been looking."

Damn this feels. How can she be so sweet and on point in the same time?

"I can't even find words to describe what I really felt that time. It wasn't written but, it is meant to be cherished. But I've never crossed the line, because I know, in the process I might lose you." She was looking at me straight in the eyes.

"You've been really persistent in tearing down my walls." I laughed. "The way you always rolled your eyes and flipped your hair at me, I wanted all of those. I want the holding hands, hugs from behind, movie dates even with the WongPong and social media pictures."

She laughed. "Disaster kapag WongPong kasama natin."

"I agree with that." I laughed. "But on the serious note, the Lord has been listening to my rants and I bet He even whisphered that I'm for you, and so you are mine, mine alone."

"You do really know the right words to say huh?"

"No, babe. That's what I really feel talaga."

"I was just joking, babe."

"I choose to be your friend but loving you is out of my control." I said while looking at her. "And, I must say that I'm beyond happy that my hands are what you're holding now."

She smiled, making her eyes a straight line. "Right now, there is one thing I am sure of.. you're the one."

"I love you, Madeliene Yrenea Madayag-De Leon." I chuckled.

"I love you too, babe!" She said and hugged me tightly.

"We'll grow old together, and always remember." I said and hugged her tightly.
