The smile from my face fades away and Riyon abruptly stops what he's doing. Both my arms drop to my side, sword still in hand.
"Don't you dare." He says.
What are you gonna do if I go through with it?
"The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent." I say, ignoring Riyon's words.
"Do it and I'll shove this sword through you!" He speaks aloud this time and points the sharp end of the sword barely even an inch away from my stomach.
Go ahead. I don't care how much pain I'll go through.
"Evil may not-"
The cold metal blade pierces and goes through my skin. The cold feeling spreads throughout my body but a warm, red liquid starts to come out from the new wound and stain the ground below me.
My vision starts to get blurry and I feel unbalanced as if I was about to fall. I keep myself steady and somehow find the energy to utter the last few words.
"...dwell within...you."
I feel my soul return to its proper place in my body and Riyon's soul go back to where it was before. The sword that Riyon once forced me to wield has shattered into millions of tiny pieces and is no longer visible.
I am now unable to keep myself balanced and I feel myself fall forward onto the cold, hard, ground.
Come on... I can't do this right now... I have to get up. I have to meet up with Rin and everyone else.
Just as I try to even move a muscle, a sharp pain begins to radiate from my wound and outward, making it feel worse than before. I continue anyway and tears form in my eyes from the pain. I force myself to my feet and take off my blue jacket, wrapping it around my stomach to prevent any further blood loss.
Before I take a step forward, I notice a severed arm laying on the ground. It instantly reminds me of what happened not long ago.
Maru...
I walk over to Maru, seeing the rest of his cut off limbs and the amount of blood on the ground increase as I get closer. I finally stop and look down at what used to be a living demon.
"The Lord says that there is no peace for the wicked...but now I wish that I could've given you peace instead of the torture you received..."
