Rin rushes toward Amaimon and a feeling of uneasiness and apprehension washes over me.

Why couldn't you have just let me fight him?

They clash. The impact of the two, momentarily, evenly matched demons seems to send vibrations through the air at high speeds.

"I'm glad you've made the decision to fight, Rin..." Amaimon says, a smile spreading across his face.

Time seems to slow and I can see and predict their hits before they even can. Rin tries to punch him... Amaimon catches his fist and flips Rin...

Why are you doing what he wants you to do?

"Ri-" I start to call out to him but I stop.

Wouldn't I just be distracting him now? Should I just let them fight it out?

Rin's words from earlier suddenly come back to me.

"Do you know how useless I felt when you told me to leave?" He said.

Are you doing this so you won't feel useless? Is it so I won't get hurt again? Is it both? Or is there another reason as well?

Rin lands back on the ground on both feet and charges at Amaimon again. He whips the silver blade out of his red sheath and swings it at Amaimon. The flames burn his arm and the sharp blade leaves a gash when he tries to block the attack. The carmine colored liquid trickles down his now discolored arm and falls onto the ground below.

I just can't take the risk... It almost happened once... I won't let there be another chance.

"Apotrepste tin pithani tragodia...kai choriste aftous tous dyo antipalous!"

Both individuals become enclosed in a sphere of purple. The almost glass like sphere emits a somewhat dim light. The one on the left holding Amaimon shoots off in another direction. The only thing I can hear is the sound of unintelligible yelling. I walk up to the sphere holding Rin.

"Don't be mad at me, Rin. I'm doing this for a reason..." I say, a smile spreading across my lips.

I can't believe we came here for food but got an opponent instead... And the fact that he's related to Rin is crazy...

"Alright, Rin. Let's get back to the academy."

"How'd you do that?" He asks. "And why?"

"I'll tell you that later." I laugh, mimicking his response from earlier.

Send us back from where we came...

Both of us start to disappear and slowly turn into millions of tiny weightless glass like fragments. They all go back in the direction of the academy and we suddenly land there, becoming visible again.
