Satan, the ultimate demon...is Rin's father? I thought that...that Rin... How is this even possible? How is Rin of all people the son of Satan?

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before..." Rin says. "It's just one of those things that's hard to come out with, you know? Being the kid of Satan is..."

I look up at Rin and expect him to finish his sentence. He doesn't. I don't say anything about it and direct my attention to his eyes. Just by looking at them, I can tell that his apology is sincere. But, I also know that there was no need for one in the first place.

"Well, Rin, I'm just glad you told me." I say, smiling. "But now...it's my turn to tell you about me."

It'll be fine... I'll just tell Rin how it is.

"A few years ago, I-"

"Where've you two been?" A certain someone says. I turn around to face them.

"Hey, Yukio..." I say.

"I think it's best that we continue our talk from the other day..." He takes off his glasses and reaches into his pocket for a small cloth, using it to clean his glasses. He puts them back on slowly. "And that Rin goes back to inform everyone of his recovery."

Rin and I stay silent. There's this weird tension beginning to build up. But suddenly, Rin turns around and leaves, somehow making the tension lessen.

"Bye, Yin." He walks away from us without looking back.

"I'll talk to you later."

I promise I'll find the time to tell you... You told me about you despite how you felt about it. I won't withhold it from you...or anyone else. They all have a right to know.

"And Rin...everything'll be ok."

He stops and finally looks back at me with a small smile on his face.

"I hope so."
