Liar, Liar (ON HOLD)

Chapter 1

I never thought things could go this far. I never thought that my best friend that I knew my whole life would finally turn against me. I guess it was going to happen sooner or later.

I was lied to my whole life anyways. He used me. He thought he could get away with it, which he didn't.

"Who are you?" The girl with the bat asked me.

Then I smirked and said, "Agustin Esposito."

So I'm pretty sure there's going to be people on the hunt for me. Especially Nikoli, that trader.

"And who are you?"

"I'm not telling you, I don't even know you! By the way, WHY ARE YOU HERE?" The girl said firming her grip on the bat.

"How about you put the bat down, let me hide in your house and maybe I'll tell you." I said emphasizing the word maybe.

"Yeah, I don't think so."

Then her facial expression showed that she was thinking whether or not she should trust me.

Then I groaned and said, "Come on, I don't have much time here lady."

Then I heard the sound of police cars in the distance. So I leaned over the edge of the gate and saw flashing lights in the distance.

Then I quickly leaned back and walked up to her but she took a couple steps back.

"Look, I'm not going to hurt you. I just need somewhere to stay for the night. I promise you that I'll be gone in the morning before you even wake up." I said reassuringly.

Then the police cars started to get louder since they were getting closer and I saw her flinch at the noise.

"You promise?" She said as she slowly lowered her bat.

"I never break a promise."

"Okay well, you're going to have to go in the barn."

"That works." I said following the girl into the barn.

When she said barn, I was expecting like a whole bunch of animals but all she has is a big brown horse when she opened the door.

Then she turned the light on and shut the door once I walked in just in time before the cops saw.

"I want answers." The girl said facing me.

"Well can you tell me your name first so I can thank you properly?"

To be honest, this girl is actually very attractive.

She has light brown hair and blue eyes.

She's wearing an oversized long sleeve shirt, small shorts and some little brown boots.

"I'll tell you, when you tell me why you're here."

"Okay then mystery girl."

"I was running from my past."

"It kinda looked like you were running from the cops." She said.

"Yeah that too I guess." I shrugged with a smirk.

"You're a criminal." She mumbled.

"Don't call me that." I growled at her as I clenched my fists and took a small step forward.

Then she gasped, took a step back and closed her eyes.

I stopped looking at her and looked down at myself.

I didn't even realize that I was glaring at her or that I was clenching my fist.

"Oh." I said taking a step back realizing that I just scared her.

"Controllare te stesso e solo respirare, respirare solo." I said to myself quietly closing my eyes as I inhaled and exhaled.

"I-I'm sorry." She studdered.

Then she walked away to go give her horse some water before I could say anything.

Then all of a sudden I felt a pang of guilt wash over me for scaring the only person willing to help me.

So I walked up to her even though she wasn't facing me since she was giving water to her horse.

"Thank you mystery girl and I'm sorry."

"You're forgiven, I know you would never hurt me because you promised and you said you never break a promise."

"My name is Lauren." She said finally turning around to face me.

Then I smiled and said, "Well thank you Lauren."

"You're welcome Agustin." Lauren said finally smiling.

Then she grabbed my wrist and led me to her house.

"I would feel like a jerk if I let you sleep in there with Felip. I hope the couch is okay."

"Parents?"

"A business trip."

Then she went and got an extra blanket and pillow and put them on the couch.

"Thank you but, why?" I said plopping myself onto the couch.

Then she walked up the stairs but right before she left she paused.

"I trust you." Then she went upstairs followed by the sound of a door closing.

I know this chapter didn't have all that action in it and the description did and that but that's because it's a preview!!
