Dear diary,

The end of the school year came and we started working together on a major assignment for English, making a movie about some of the books we've read throughout the year. We chose The Great Gatsby and altered it a bit to the modern era. This is where we bonded the most, all of us. Andrew, Linda and Oliver are playing the lead roles: Gatsby, Daisy and Nick. There are some other minor characters played by other classmates from our English group. Even Tara is in our group but she is skipping school a lot, so we haven't worked with her yet. I'm doing all the work around it: working the camera, props, working with Andrew on the script, it looks like I will become a narrator since we are getting to the end of the work and no one wants to do that.

This movie is a great experience. Well, was, until Tara made her appearance at school. We have  collectively decided that we wouldn't give her any credit for the movie since she hasn't done anything, but that would seriously affect her final grade from English. But guess what? The teacher ruled against us. Can you believe it! We were working on the movie for a few weeks now, while she was on a vacation and didn't give a damn! And then she just swoops in and steals all our hard work? Unbelievable. We were outraged but there was nothing we could do about it. She's currently making some posters for the movie's screening and that's it. That's what she gets her points for, the same amount of points that I've got for working my ass off for the whole time, sleeping for about 4 hours or less each night. Just dandy.

Everyone else was outraged as well. Andrew even spoke to Tara about it, but couldn't change the teacher's decision.

At least now I get to sleep.
