Once Upon A Time...

A Nightmare To Forget.

After Jyushi found out how Ichimatsu looked, they played board games till Todo and Karamatsu joined them then they talked about many things, mainly tell each other about themselves.

It soon got late and time for dinner. Ichimatsu, Karamatsu, Todo and Jyushi went to the dinning room were they were met by Osomatsu and Choro, sitting at the table. The 4 sat down as the servants brought out trays of foods. They ate their meals quietly till one spoke.
"Are we gonna stay here?" Jyushi asked as he looked at the others. Ichimatsu looked at him.
"Why are you asking? Do you wanna leave?" Osomatsu asked looking at the small boy. Jyushi stayed quite.
"I mean you can if you want to but do you really wanna go back? Back to your father beating you? Not getting fed? Not getting your own clothes, your own bed, or even your own room?" Osomatsu asked standing up. It was dead silent for minutes.
"Well do ya? Because I can be just like him! I can beat you and starve you! Hell, I can even make you sleep on these cold floors!" Osomatsu said, raising his voice. Ichimatsu stood quickly.
"Enough!" Ichimatsu yelled. Jyushi had tears in his eyes as he remembered every beaten, every meal he starved at, and every cold night he slept on the floor. Ichimatsu looked at him.
"Jyushi, you're safe here. I won't let him lay a finger on you. I promise." Ichimatsu said as he patted Jyushi's head. Jyushi hugged onto Ichimatsu's black robe he had on. Ichimatsu patted his head.
"We're going to bed." Ichimatsu growled as he turned around walking towards the door, Jyushi followed him still hugging onto him.

Karamatsu looked over at Osomatsu and once Ichimatsu and Jyushi left, Karamatsu spoke.
"I thought you promised you wouldn't bring up things like that?" Karamatsu asked as his brother chuckled.
"Maybe but that's what happened to him." Osomatsu said. Karamatsu let out a low growl.
"We'll be getting to be as well." Karamatsu said as he pulled on Todo's hand. When they left, Choro asked.
"Why were did you say those things to him?"
"Because that's what he deal with." Osomatsu said as he stood.
"Come let's get to bed." Osomatsu said. They left and went to their bedroom just like all the others did.

Ichimatsu went to his room with Jyushi. Ichimatsu was mad, super mad. 'Why would he say something like that!?' Ichimatsu asked himself as his looked down at Jyushi, who had tears in his eyes. Ichimatsu slowly picked Jyushi up and placed him on the bed.
"Ichimatsu? Will you sleep with me?" Jyushi asked in a low voice, as he snuggled against the bed. Ichimatsu nodded and laid down next to Jyushi. Jyushi smiled and snuggled against Ichimatsu, Ichimatsu wrapped his arms around Jyushi.

They sat like this for a couple of minutes till Jyushi yawned. Ichimatsu said a word in a different language, making the light go off. Jyushi soon fell asleep.

"I'm sorry! Papa! I'm sorry!" A small boy yelled as he cover his head, crying.
"You better be! Now redo them!" A large man with a cigarette in his mouth yelled. The small boy began to rewash the dishes as his father was watching him. The man stood up and walked over to the boy, smashing his head against the bucket of water.
"I told you yo wash them right! How many time must I beat you boy!?" The man yelled angered. The boy cried harder as he got picked up by the shirt. He soon was threw onto the floor.
"Now I want you to do your homework then get to bed!" The man yelled. The boy quickly shook his head yes. The man walked out of the room.

The boy just got done with his homework when he heard his named be called.
"Jyushi!" A women called. Jyushi sat his book down and went into the living room where his mother and father were.
"Yes, mama?" Jyushi asked.
"I heard that a birthday was coming up." The women said. Jyush I lighted up.
"Yes, mama! Its my birthday, my 6th birthday." Jyushi said proudly.
"Well I also heard that someone didn't clean nor finished the dishes." She said as she look up him.
"But mama! Papa, told me-" SLAP! Jyushi got cut off by a slap on the cheek, a hard slap, that knocked him to the floor. His father slapped him. Jyushi had tears in his eyes.
"No, but. I thought I told you to do them dishes. Now get outside and do them!" She said in a hateful tone. Jyushi got up and went outside, he sat out there for a good 3 hours before he came in. He went straight to his room, and by his room it meant the room he shared with his 3 older brothers. Jyushi thought about getting a shower/bath but he wouldn't have any warm or hot water, it would all be cold.

So he went to bed on the cold floor with out any blanket or pillows, and without a shower. He closed his eyes, till he felt something on his chest. He sat up and started coughing. He was coughing hard, he soon looked up. Smoke filled the top of the house, he looked at the door way that had flames coming though the door. He jumped up and panicked but the more he panicked the more the smoke filled his lungs. He soon opened his window and jumped out, it was only 2 feet from the ground so he was okay. He ran a bit from the burning house. He walked around the house not seeing anyone else. He was shaking bad as if he just had a nightmare. He gulped as the police showed up. That's all he remembered of that nightmare. He wished he could forget that memory.

Jyushi woke up, he was panting like a dog and sweating as of he just ran a mile. Jyushi looked over to see Ichimatsu asleep, next to him. He was still at the castle.
