Laura walked through the empty halls. The bell had rung ten minutes ago but she had to stay behind to take care of some cheer business.

She  thought about what has happened. Shawn told her that he might be in love with her. She didn't know what to do with that. He hasn't come to school the whole week.

Thank you. She couldn't have thought about something else to say. Our plans are going to get ruined because of those words. Well the girls plan.

She could have just said 'I love you too' and maybe it is true. Maybe she does love him. I don't know. Her feelings are confused. One moment she is for destroying Shawn but then he does something so sweet that it just makes her forget about destroying him.

They have about two months and a half until prom and she needs to figure out how she really feels. Because if she does love him, then she has to stop before he gets hurt.

Shawn had been texting her the first couple days but he thought maybe she didn't feel the same. So he stopped.

All her thinking made her bump into someone sending her straight down to the floor. She looked up and saw him. His eyes shined as he saw Laura.

"Hey you're back." She comments, "But you do know you are a little too late."

He chuckled at her comment. "So where have you been ?" I ask him, with my arms crossed and smile disappearing.

"I got sick. Remember you told me to stop going in and out of the house since outside was cold and it was warm inside. Well I got payback." He said. He grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him hugging me. She pulled away from the hug.

Shawn was acting to affectionate after everything that happened. Did he forget or something?

He looked at her strange and she answered, "I thought you were avoiding coming to school so you wouldn't have to face me."

He gazed to the floor, letting go of my hand. "That was just a plus. I was trying to avoid you."

"Why?"

"Because your answer wasn't what I was looking for. It really hurt me to hear 'thank you' come out of your mouth. I was expecting for a different answer. Like that maybe you might be falling in love with me." He ran a hand through his hair.

"Look Shawn, I am confused myself. I don't know what I feel for you. Sometimes I love you, but other times I'm confused 'cause your bad boy side reappears."

He smiled. Laura narrowed her eyes. "Shawn this isn't funny."

"I know it's not, but you said that sometimes you love me. And Laura transitioning from my old life to this new and improved me is going to be difficult. I'm sorry but it is. That was me for a long time. It's going to reappear, but just know that I'm trying here." 

"I'm sorry. You are changing. And it's for me. Sorry."

"You don't have to apologize Laura. You haven't done anything wrong."

Yes I have. She hated doing this to him.

"Okay well I have to get going to the hospital. " She told him.

"What? Is everything okay?" He asked. Looking down to her stomach wondering if she was pregnant.

"Yeah. I just have to go for my volunteer hours and then I'll go visit the kids. So you don't have to worry. Either way we haven't ever done anything. "
