About a week and a half ago, Mexico felt another earthquake after have just had one about 2 weeks prior. I have been depressed because of it. I remember hearing it the news the same day. I was at school. All I could think about was the people and my family who live nearby.
My sister who is 4 hours away from Mexico City felt it and she said that she was scared and my nephews and niece were scared. The image of them being frightened scared me. That made me want to cry even more.
Then the videos of it occurring surfaced and the way the buildings shook and came crumbling down scared me. I was frightened and I felt useless.
I wish I could have been there. My second home, helping my fellow people.
It was a devastating tragedy. Anyways the reason why I put thank you is to thank Shawn.
He was there the day of the earthquake and he felt it and felt scared.
But I want to thank him because he stayed back to help the people find shelter and food. He didn't have to stay and help but he did. He cares so much about everyone that he helped. He also donated $100k to for relief.
When I heard that I honestly did cry. I'm so thankful that he helped the people. So thank you.
Also, thank you so much for being considerate. He cancelled his shows in respect for the people. If I was in the spot that many of them are I don't think I would have gone to the concert the day after this. It would have just upset me more. I don't know why but it would.
The reason why I didn't update or speak up about it was because I was just too depressed to do anything. I care too much about people and hoping they are okay and much more if it includes my family being near it.
Im sorry to any of those who had to go through the earthquake the first and second time. I'm so sorry if you lost someone.
