Josh's POV

"Hello," I said groggily after hearing my phone rings.

"Hello, is this Joshua Dun," the woman on the other side asked.

"Yes, it is," I said with a confused tone.

"Okay, this is Melanie, I work at hot topic and you've seemed to submit and application. We'd love you to work with us. We want to meet you and see if you're truly eligible. When can this happen?" She asked.

"Uh, actually today is okay,"I said.

"Well okay, come around 12," she told me.

"Okay that will do," I told her.

I rolled over and saw Tyler wasn't there. I walked out of the room and walked downstairs. My mom had already left for work.

I planted a little kiss on Tyler's neck. He turned around and smiled kissing me back.

"Hey I have to go to a meet and greet thing at hot topic, do you want to come," I asked.

"Yeah that sounds great,"

We got dressed and went to eat at Taco Bell. By the time we were done, we headed to the mall where hot topic is.

We walked in and went into the store. I went to the register and explained who I was, and what I was here for.

A girl with bright blue hair led me to a woman with long half pink and half black hair.

"Hey," she said enthusiastically.

"Hello, I'm Joshua," I told her.

She smiled and nodded to Tyler.

"I- I'm Tyler. I'm Josh's boyfriend," he said nervously.

"Oh okay, shall we start," she asked.

I nodded and she began on telling me what they do here and what they don't do. It was altogether very simple and cool. She asked me for my drivers license which she copied and put in a folder along with other papers.

She stuck the pale blue folder into a filing expandable folder. She proceeded to go to her computer and insert me into the schedule.

The first day I worked would be Monday. Today was Tuesday so I had a full week to prepare myself. She asked what I usually wore then told me that no changes would need to be made.

I picked out a lanyard and put the name tag she had made on it.

We left the store.

"Hey, you want anything,"

He smiled and shook his head. I insisted he found something he wanted though. He ended up picking a pale blue sweatshirt.

It looked cute on him, as it was a little big and hung off of him.

We drove home holding hands and listening to music.

"Tyler," I said.

"Yeah," he replied.

"You like making music, right," I asked.

"Yeah, why," he asked with a confused expression plastered onto his face.

"I was just wondering if you wanted to start a two person band," I asked.

"Oh my god, yes. I've always loved music and I'd be happy to pursue it," he said with a smile bigger than his little body.

So we did. When we got home we started on our first song together.

It was named, Anathema.

A/N yes Ik that's probably not the first song, but in this book it is ah.
