I didn't open my eyes right after I woke up, because honestly, who does that? But I have to admit I was slightly confused when I felt someone breathe underneath my side. What the hell has happened?

It was now that I opened my eyes, and Jesus Christ, that was unexpected.

I had no idea what time it was, but it was definitely daytime judging by the warm sunlight making its way through the window. But that wasn't what surprised me.

What surprised me was the fact that basically half my body was laid on Dan's, whereas he leant against the armrest of the sofa. He was still asleep, breathing slowly and looking bloody adorable.

His hair was curly, which kind of astonished me. I didn't know his natural hair wasn't straight. Then again, I also hadn't known his sexuality wasn't all so straight either, at least until yesterday night.

With slow and careful movements I moved away from Dan. Not that I wanted to, but I had to.

Wait, what? No, I didn't mean that. Of course I wanted to get away from him, I didn't like him like that, after all.

It was just now I noticed there was a blanket wrapped around me. Where had it come from?

I furrowed my eyebrows and tucked Dan in the blanket before I sat up on the sofa. My back hurt a bit because of the weird position I had slept in, but it was okay.

I looked at Dan again. For god's sake, no one looks adorable while sleeping, only people in movies.

But then, of course, there was Dan.

I sighed and rubbed my eyes. I wasn't sure what to do now. I couldn't just leave now, I didn't want to be impolite, but I also didn't want to wake Dan up. I wondered if Sofia was here. That would probably explain the blanket, at least.

I considered looking for her for a second, but maybe she came back late yesterday and was sleeping, too. And I couldn't just run into their bedroom while she was asleep, it hadn't even been twenty-four hours since I'd first met her.

Waking up Dan, it was, then.

I leant over to him and with a little hesitation, I touched his shoulder. "Dan?" I said in a gentle voice. He didn't react.

"Hey, Dan."

"Hmmm." He moved his head a little and pulled his eyebrows together lightly.

"Wake up, sleepyhead," I mumbled and Dan groaned quietly which made me chuckle.

His eyelids flutter open and he looked a little disoriented for a second. He turned his head slightly when he noticed my presence. "Phil," he said and smiled a little before he rubbed his eyes and yawned. "Morning. Have you slept well?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. He did not quite react the way I expected him to. "Yeah, I did. I, uh... I'm sorry for falling asleep on you."

Dan chuckled. "I don't mind, don't worry. I was just as tired as you." He poured some water into yesterday's glass and took a sip. Then he filled my glass with water as well and handed it to me.

"I should've left when I noticed I got tired, I'm sorry."

"Seriously, don't worry about it."

"Still, I'm sorry." I bit my lip, not sure what else to say, and drank a bit of the water.
