Dan Howell 16:47
"hey, any chance i can come over?"

A week had passed since I had stayed at Dan's house, and we haven't met since. We were texting each other every day though, and even facetimed once. So when he texted me asking if he could come over, I didn't know whether I should feel surprised or not.

"Sure, I don't have any lectures
today, so I don't really mind"

"cool! i'll be over in twenty"

"Will you find the dorm on
your own?"

"doyle hall, right?"

"Yup"

"i think i'll find it. if not i'll just
ask my way round"

"Mkay. See you soon"

"Who texted you?" Twigs asked, and I looked at her for a short second.

"Dan," I mumbled, "He's coming over in twenty minutes. I hope that's alright."

"It's your room." Twigs laughed a little and I smiled.

"Yeah, but... never mind."

Twigs looked at me, a smile on her face and her eyebrows still raised. "So? Did he break up with his girlfriend?"

"Can you all stop?" I sighed, and Twigs started laughing. "I'm allowed to have other friends, that doesn't immediately mean I'm dating them. Jesus."

"Whatever you say."

I rolled my eyes at Twigs' words and turned my attention back to the TV show we were watching.

Dan had been right, and he found his way to my accommodation all on his own. So, twenty-two minutes later he rung my doorbell and I walked downstairs to unlock the door for him.

"Hey," he said while engulfing me in a hug. I smiled a little.

"Hey, how are you?"

"Oh, good, good. A little tired, that's all. What about you?"

"Same here," I said and once again smiled a little. "Uh, a friend of mine is here too, I hope you don't mind. She's my flatmate, if you want I can ask her to leave-"

"Oh, no, it's fine. Don't worry about it, I'd love to meet her."

I nodded and smiled while we walked up the stairs to my room. Dan followed me quietly.

He'd never been here before, so I was wondering what he was thinking. Maybe it reminded him of his time in uni, or maybe he thought it was too small and pathetic, or maybe he didn't think anything at all. I couldn't tell.

We reached my room. The door was still opened because Twigs was waiting inside, and I only had to push it open a little further in order to walk through.
