As we continue our journey, a thought keeps reoccurring in the back of my mind, Piper is well unprepared for the wasteland. All she's carrying is a 10mm pistol and a basic, scoped hunting rifle.

"Hey, Piper, hold up a second." I say, looking back at Diamond City.

"L, what's up?" Piper asks, holstering her pistol.

"I've been thinking, first off if your gonna give me a nickname, use my squad name, Fang. Secondly, you aren't prepared for what's out there not even close, so we're going to march our happy little asses right back in to Diamond City and get you some better equipment." I respond.

"Yes, sir." Piper chuckles.

"Piper, 200 years ago, I was a general in the army, as far as I'm concerned, I still am. As for you, I see you as part of my team, I look out for my team, always have, always will." I responded. "I seen some nice leather armor and another set of army fatigues in there. Go pick them up and grab you a couple weapons. Also, while your at it, modify them up a bit, I got a feeling we're going to need it."

Piper heads back inside, while I stand guard at the wall. A couple dogs try to attack the security team, but a couple well placed shots from my rifle drop them immediately. A couple hours go by, and Piper still hasn't returned yet. I make sure security is well handled and make my way back inside.

When I finally found Piper, she had just finished put the final touches on her outfit. I almost didn't recognize her without the red trenchcoat. I almost had to do a double take. Without her original outfit, Piper looked completely different.

I can't help but stare at her. Piper reminds me so much of Nora. But right now I can't let that cloud my judgement. I push those thoughts to the back of my head and walk over to the armorer. I pay him the amount owed and follow her over to the weaponsmith. She picks up a combat shotgun and an assault rifle. She then proceeds to modify them heavily, which I pay for the parts as well.

"Fang, I'm geared up and ready to go when you are." Piper say, cheerfully.

Looking at the time on my pip-boy, it's approximately 17:30, which is military time. Standard use time, it is 5:30 pm. According to the pip-boy, it's a day and a half walk, if we don't get attacked on the road, from Diamond City to Sanctuary Hills.
