*Frisk's POV*

When G told me his story, I felt weak, and hopeless.

"I can see why he wants you then..." He started, his eyes still wide at the news of my soul color.

Instead of having to demand an explanation, I listened to G as he told me his story anyway.

"A long time ago," He began, "Asriel and I were friends. Best friends, in fact. He was someone I could always trust, someone I could rely on. Even after the monsters were released, we continued to be friends. Me living my life, alone in this damp hole. While he spent his days in a palace with his royal parents, and his servants from all around. Yup... we were the greatest of friends."

Being polite, I didn't protest, and I listened to his story, watching his face soften at the memories he must've been having.

"That is... until we grew up," His smile fell as he said the words, "Things got... complicated. Hard. We didn't see each other months at a time... very, very long months....

"When I turned 16, I visited him in his room. He was hunched over a desk, staring at papers and scattered ink while he wrote and worked. Now, keep in mind that for those six years, humans and monsters seemed to be growing more and more apart. Monsters aren't allowed in some human areas, or facilities. And vis-versa. The humans threatened the King, Asgore, that they would lock them back under that dreaded mountain again. Asgore couldn't have this...

"So..." G shut his eyes and laid back, taking in a puff of mainstream smoke then letting it out slowly, filling me with suspense, "He and the royal family came up with a plan... a... well, sickly plan..."

He sighed and leaned forward.

I shivered and felt as if he was judging me with his eyes closed, and I shuffled slightly, uncomfortable with the thought that he could be reading my mind.

Who knew what that magic could do?

Realizing he wasn't going to continue, I eagerly asked, "What's the plan...?"

He was silent for a very, very long time.

*G's POV*

...

(P.S THIS IS THE ONLY TIME I'M DOING THIS JUST SO YA KNOW)

I remembered that day so well, it seemed like it still played before me, like the sick tragedy it was.

Asriel had his head shoved into his work, his eyes unblinking from the focus and concentration. Even if these two seemed like the same thing, focus is where you maintain thought. Concentration is for one thing, and one thing only.

The Prince's concentration was on the writing, the pens ink running low from so much writing, and the papers scattered under a bright lamp light.

"Heya Azzy," I said in my plain humor, trying to lighten up the tense mood which was easy to see, "Whatcha working on there?"

Asriel didn't even flinch at my presence, and he said in his smooth voice, "Nothing of your concern, I'm sure of it G."

A small smirk crossed my lips as I walked over to him, ready to annoy him in any friendly way possible.

Yet when I saw his hunched shoulders, his tense back, and his hand scribbling away at the writing, I had to place aside our humor into more serious matters.

"How would I know if it's my concern or not, if ya wont tell me?" I said, still in an attempt to lighten the mood.

The attempt didn't work, and Asriel stopped his writing.
