[6] I hummed underneath my breath as I parked in front of Olivia's gate, opening the window as I pressed the bell. The gate opened and I drove in, the house big as a mansion. I parked in the driveway and got out, closing the door behind me.
"Bitch, you're early. What happened?" Olivia asked me when she opened her house door and I scoffed, shaking my head at her. "The ball is tonight and I have to attend with Diego." She huddled me in her arms and hugged me tightly. "Do you really have to?"
"Yes I do sadly." I told her as we pulled away from each other, "But anyways, I didn't come to talk about Diego nor the ball." She nodded understandingly as we made our way inside. As much as I told myself that I wouldn't think about Diego or the ball I couldn't, they were stuck in my mind and I hated it. I can't imagine being close to him and not kiss him or hold his hand. It feels so foreign.
When the sky darkened, I went back home and stopped when I found Diego's sister at my house. "Catalina?" I called out confused and weird out, "What are you doing here?" She squealed excitedly and darted toward me, hugging me tightly.
"Your mother called me to help you dress for the ball tonight, isn't it great?" I smiled falsely at that, not at all. I sighed, scratching my neck, "Sorry Cat but I can dress myself." She waved me off, "Bullshit! You need a total make over." She grabbed my arm and dragged me up the stairs
"Thank God your mother called me, I have the perfect dress for the party. Let's begin, shall we?" Catalina asked me with a big grin on her face and I looked at her the same way and nodded my head, only mine was fake.
"We shall." This is going to be a very interesting night. I sat in front of the vanity as Catalina made my wavy hair straight with the blow dryer before using the flat iron. "I'm so nervous Catalina, I won't lie."
"Why nervous? My brother is an idiot for not wanting to get back together with you after the one year apart." Catalina looked up at me through the mirror and went back to straightening my hair.
"I don't want to talk about him." I sighed and relaxed in the seat, letting Catalina do her job. "My hair gets usually frizzy but it's so soft and well straight." I brushed my fingers through my really soft hair, it wasn't even frizzy.
"Your hair is so long, I remember last year it was just a bit past your shoulders now it's hanging on your back. Bless you for having hair that grows so quickly." We laughed at that and I shook my head at her.
"Long hair is not always the best you know?" I told her as she went to grab her makeup box from her bag and made her way toward me, placing the box on the vanity table, "Please, don't make me look too much."
"I won't trust me." I nodded my head and closed my eyes as she started putting makeup on my face. My phone started to ring and Catalina stepped away from my face as I opened my eyes, leaning up to grab my phone.
"Hello?" I pulled away the moment I answered the phone, Olivia shouting at me through the phone. "I'm sorry babes, I came home and found Diego's sister and I forgot to call you and tell you that I reached home saftely. She's getting me ready."
"I've been waiting for you to call me, I thought something happened to you." Olivia scoffed at me, "Oh my God. Are you dressed already? Did you put makeup on? Send me pictures, oh my God, I want to see him drool! How I wish I could pay to see this moment."
"Not yet, she's putting makeup on now." She oh at me and I smiled at her, "No need to be jealous, I love you to Ollie." I'm sure that she rolled her eyes at me, "You know I love you right? I'll send you pics when I'm done."
"You better bitch." We said our goodbyes and Catalina started putting makeup on my face again. We spend a good time getting ready, I couldn't wait to show them my change of look. I wanted to see Diego's face when he sees me, he's going to regret everything he did to me.
