Two weeks later
I woke up early in the morning and went to Jane's office, I couldn't wait to see my baby. I wanted to know if everything was okay with him or her. I sat in the waiting room eagerly, chewing down my bottom lip as I waited and waited an...." Leanne?" I jumped off the chair, clearing my throat as the humans stared at me as if I was an extraterrestrial. They never saw an eager mom to be before? I scoffed at them as I made my way toward Jane's office.
"Hello Leanne, glad to see you." I smiled shortly, grazing down my bottom lip. "I came to see my baby." She gave me a bright smile as she stood up, "No se able mas. Take a seat on the bed and lay down." I burst into a smile as I walked toward the bed, sitting down.
I lied down on the bed, Jane covering my lower body as she pulled down my panties a bit and lifted my dress. "Okay, ready?" I nodded my head as she pressed some buttons on her machine, placing a gel on her transducer before placing it on my lower abdomen, looking for the baby.
My hand cupped my mouth as a loud heartbeat filled the room, my body lifting up a bit with the support of my arm as I stared at the screen. I chewed down my bottom lip as my eyes filled with tears, my baby. Oh God, I can't believe this.
When I finished my appointment, I drove to the beach, I wanted to be alone, reflecting on my life and now, my baby's life. I touched my stomach, rubbing it slightly. I sighed, leaning my hand down as I headed toward the beach. The waved crashing felt so soothing, relaxing. I closed my eyes, inhaling deeply.
"I, Diego. Promise to love you for the rest of my life. I will never leave you and will always love you." I opened my eyes as tears slid down my cheeks at the memory, looking aside as I sniffed. I pressed my lips together, plopping down the soft sand as I brought my legs toward my chest.
"Leanne?" Someone called my name and I glanced up with a frown, "Marcos?" I asked confused and weird out, what was he doing here? "I haven't seen you in a while. Glad to see you, we didn't end that well. With your mate and everything."
I huffed slightly, looking ahead as he sat down next to me, "Well, you didn't end good with your mate even. I saw her crying. She really loves you Marcos." Marcos scoffed at that, licking his lips, "Well she has a bad way of showing it." He shrugged, resting his arms on his knees.
"Just because she doesn't show it doesn't mean she doesn't love you Marcos. I saw her in the bathroom Marcos, her eyes held nothing but sadness. She loves you Marcos, you must be blind or she's a hell of an actress."
"The one blind is you." I knitted my eyebrows as I turned to look at him, "Yes, you." I scoffed, shaking my head at him, "The guy loves you Leanne." I sniffed, glancing up as I shook my head, "Well he has a bad way of showing it."
"Hey, don't use my words. At least you two had history, mine don't even want a history with me. The guy was about to kill me, if he didn't care he wouldn't have done what he did. I'm sure that if it was my mate, she would have set me free at that."
"Marcos, don't be so dramatic. It's true what I'm telling you. You just have to grab her and tell her things straight forward. Pour out your feelings." I touched his heart as I gave him a short smile and he did the same with me, "Why don't you do just that, pour out your feelings."
I huffed, shaking my head, "I poured, and poured my heart out. What more do you want me to pour out? I poured out love, anger and even rage at one time. Diego and I, we're complicated. Now, there isn't any hope for us."
"Not even for the baby you're expecting?" My eyes bulged as my lips parted, "How...how do you know?" He laughed at me, "I'm surprised that he hasn't find out. You smell is stronger and sweeter. I know it because my mate used to smell like that." He looked ahead, staring at the water.
