Friday
The light shining through my window made me groan and turned around on my back, stretching on my bed with a yawn as I looked at my nightstand. I sat up with a frown and leaned forward. Sorry, I hope you like it. Diego. I grabbed the box and put it on my bed, removing the wrapper from it. I opened the box to see an Iphone 7 and shook my head at him, couldn't he buy me something more expensive?
Note the sarcasm?
I turned on the phone to see a text from him. I know you won't like the phone and say, couldn't he buy me something more expensive? Yeah, I know you too well to know that you thought the exact same thing, sorry for breaking your phone, Diego.
I sighed loudly and closed my eyes for a few moments, Diego, Diego, Diego. What are you doing to me? I turned off the screen and stood up from the bed, going into my bathroom to get ready for the day.
I didn't know how to act or be around Diego now that we've been together after a year and now with this birth control issue worse. I should have been more careful, I can't even believe that I let it happen.
I wasn't ready to let him in yet.
I skipped down the stairs and made my way into the kitchen, my mother standing in front of the stove as she made breakfast, apron on. "Good morning mom." I made my way toward her and touched her shoulders as I kissed her cheek, "Where's dad?"
I leaned on the counter as I stared at her, waiting for her to say something. "He and the Alpha had to go to the pack near, they are facing rogue problems." I nodded my head and grabbed an apple, toying with it in my hand.
I gasped as my mother snatched the apple away from me just when I was about to take a bite, "Sit." My mother said and I complied, heading toward the chairs as I pulled it back and sat down.
She placed a plate in front of me and I dug in immediately, "Thanks mom." She placed fresh glass of Orange juice in front of me and I drank it eagerly, "Relax, you still have a few minutes." My mother chuckled, shaking her head at me as she walked toward the sink, washing the dishes.
I picked some eggs with my fork as I texted Olivia with my other hand, "Oh, you have a new phone. What happened to your old one?" My mother asked me as she leaned against the counter and I sighed, drinking my orange juice as I stood up.
"Diego broke my phone, so he gave me a new one." I shrugged my shoulders, sliding my plate and glass into sink. My mother crossed her arms as she stared at me, "Leanne, I really want to see you happy."
"I am mother, I really am." I gave her a small smile as I leaned in to kiss her cheek. She returned a sad smile of her own and brushed my hair back, "I really hope you are Leanne, I really hope you are." I closed my eyes briefly with a sigh as I turned around, walking toward the table to grab my phone and bag.
"See you after school?" I asked my mother as I turned to face her, "I was planning on visiting the Luna today." My mother said in return and I nodded my head, "Okay, I'll call you later then." I kissed her cheek again and made my way out of the kitchen.
I texted Olivia and told her that I was on my way to school before making my way out of the house and toward my car. I unlocked the doors and got inside, placing my bag on the seat as I started the engine.
When I arrived to school everyone was talking about the school party and the date they'll bring. That's all they were talking about the whole day, I groaned as I slammed my locker door close and sighed when I saw Sophia coming.
"Aw, why are you such in a bad humor?" She curled her mouth into a smirk and laughed with her fingers brushing her hair behind her shoulder. "Don't have a date for tonight? I actually feel bad for you, you know. You don't have a mate, you don't have friends and you don't have a date."
