[9] I headed to the bathroom, with everything that happened I forgot that I even had to pee to begin with. I pushed the door open and got into a stall, doing what I came to do and cleaned myself up.
When I was about to flush the toilet I heard someone cry and I frowned, flushing the toilet as I unlocked the door to get out. The sniffed continued and I knocked on the stall next to mine. "Ohm, are you okay?" I asked worried and the person stopped sniffing.
The door was unlocked and the prettiest girl I've ever seen came out. "I'm sorry." She sniffed and I smiled warmly at her. "Thanks for asking, I'm fine." She walked toward the sink and looked at herself into the mirror.
"It doesn't seem like it." I told her as I made my way toward her and opened the tap, washing my hands. I dried off my hands, "My name is Leanne." I extended my hand and she shook it.
"Eva." She offered me a smile, turning around to glance up in the mirror. She fixed herself in the mirror and turned around. "It was nice to meet you." She walked past me and got out of the restroom.
I walked out after and saw her walking toward Marko, she was his mate? Why was she crying? I shook my head and headed toward my parents. "Honey, come on. Sit." I sat down on the table and grabbed a drink when the waiter came to our table.
I watched as the couples danced, a smile on my face as I remembered something but realizing that it was Diego related my face fell. I sighed, looking around the room. My eyes spotted Diego who was standing next to his father, talking to some people.
My lips stretched into a short smile as I bit my inner cheek, shifting my eyes down. I glanced back up to see Diego turning his head to face me. We stared at each other for a few seconds before he turned back around, nodding his head at whatever the person was talking about.
I popped up my cheek as I played with the straw, thinking about the past. "Honey, I know that look." My mother said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "You get sad every time you think of him."
I scooted over to my mom as she pulled me into a hug, my head resting on her shoulder as I hugged her tightly, my eyes glancing up at Diego that was looking at me. I closed my eyes and turned my head to face my mother's neck and looked down.
The guards said their goodbyes as we made our way outside of the hotel, the valet bringing Diego's car. As much as I protested to my mom about not wanting to go home with Diego, I found myself going with him either way.
The valet opened the door for me and I shook my head at him, walking toward the back like I came but Diego decided another thing. "It's okay." Diego told the valet who bowed his head and grabbed my upper arm. "You're going to sit in the front like it should be and that's final."
I wrested my arm away from his grip and narrowed my eyes angrily at him. "Not even think about making a scene, you either get in or I'll make you. You decide." I whirled around angrily and got in the front, crossing my arms as he slammed the door close.
I ran my hands underneath my eyes to remove the tears coating my eyes and looked away as he opened the driver seat, slouching in pissed and closed the door behind him. I looked at the hotel, not wanting to look at him as he started the engine and drove us away on full speed.
He was pissed, I was pissed so neither of us said anything. The car ride was quiet, not even the radio was playing. As I stared out of the window, the more I realized that it wasn't the way home.
I furrowed my eyebrows and pulled away from the window, turning to look at him. "This is not the way home, I want to go home now." He ignored me and continued to drive unfazed. "I said, I want to go home." I gritted out word by word as I bored my eyes into his face.
I leaned forward and moved the steer wheel around. "What the hell Leanne?!" The car swerved around but Diego managed to bring it back straight on the road. "What is your fucking problem?!"
"I want to go home now!" I screamed out at him loudly, I was tired of him treating me as if I was a mop, an object he can move around like he please and toss it aside when he's finished with it. "I had it with you! I'm sick of it all!" I shrieked out hysterically as I fumed. "I don't want you, I'm sick of feeling this love for you. I don't want to be with you anymore. It's over! No more games, no more playtimes. I have no time to play no games with you. I want you to break the bond! If you don't, I will."
He tensed at that and clenched his jaw together. "It hurts ha? Ha! How do you think I felt all these 365 days and more ha? I reached my breaking point, a girl can only handle a couple of things but this, this is just off the list. You left me humiliated and insulted, I was ignored, I was mopped around, I was the joke of everyone." I hooked my point finger around my five fingers as I spoke hurt and bitter. "You made a jealous scene when I never gave you a reason to doubt in me."
"I'm done crying over you, I'm done being the joke, I'm done being humiliated and insulted. I'm done being mopped around and I'm done loving you." I wiped my tears away angrily and yanked the door open, getting out.
I leaped forward and busted into my wolf, my front paws landing smoothly on the ground as I skipped around the woods. I heard a howl behind me and soon enough hard pounding paws could be heard from behind me.
I ran faster at that, but I was in wolf form. My wolf had more control now than I have. She was nagging at me for running away from her mate, begging us to stop and go back to our mate but I had enough being the mop, I can do what I want and right now is not him.
The ground shook beneath me as I ran like I never did before, my paws landing softly on the dirt as the wind brushed against my fur. My keen sight caught a glimpse of a blur as it dashed past the trees.
The woods disappeared around me as I reached a cliff with a waterfall but that didn't stop me. I looked behind me to see Diego on my tail, if he finds me, this is not going to end well. I looked back in front of me and leaped forward, my front paws pointing forward as I shifted back.
I dove down the cliff and felt hand first into the water with a loud plunge as I dove in, swimming to the surface. The water plunge behind me and I knew that Diego jumped too. I swam away from him under the waterfall, coming back up with a gasp.
I moved my hands in front of my face to remove the water and turned around, gasping when I was pinned on the rock wall behind me. "Are you fucking crazy? Do you know how many feet that cliff is?" I wrested my wrists away from his grip and pushed him away but he flushed his body against mine.
"Let go of me! Why did you jump anyways if this cliff is so deep like you said? Why would you if you don't care! You never did! You never cared about me! If you did you wouldn't have put me in this misery. You're just a piece of shit!" I banged on his chest as I pushed him on his wet shoulders but he wouldn't bulge. "Are you really asking me that?" He asked me as he looked at me into the eyes. "You're my mate Leanne, I'd die if something happens to you. You have the right to be angry with me, I admit that I deserve it. Every insult, every hit, I deserve them all." I stopped pushing his shoulders as I froze at what he just said.
The corners of my lips dropping as I slid my hands off his shoulders and brushed my wet hair behind my ear, my hands crossing in front of my naked chest as I gripped my arms with my hands. He brushed my hair back with his fingers and cupped my face on each side, tilting my head up as he pressed his body closer to mine.
I looked down as he went to kiss me, his lips pressing against my forehead. I closed my eyes as he brushed my face with his thumbs and tilted my head again, his lips brushing up and down against mine, asking for permission to kiss me.
I parted my lips, my eyes glancing up into his eyes as he continued to tempt me with his lips. I removed my crossed arms and lifted my hand up, draping it across his back as I responded to his kisses.
He pulled me away from the rock wall as he sneaked an arm around my back, his other hand running down my thigh as he wrapped my leg around his hip. I draped my other hand around his back and tangled my fingers in his hair as our cold lips moved hungrily against each other.
He sneaked his warm tongue into my mouth as he pressed his hand on the rock wall behind us and pressed his mouth closer. He moved us away from the rock wall and out of the water behind the waterfall.
