While Alec was running, not paying any attention, he found himself on the ground. He had tripped sending his backpack, half zipped, along with his books flying. "You okay?" asked a tanned muscled man who helped Alec up. Alec looked at the man, then quickly looked away bending over to gather his books. Standing back up after gathering his books, the man was no where to be seen. Great thought Alec. I just embarrassed myself and I didn't even say anything. Checking his phone for the time, Alec started headed towards class again. 8:00, Dang it I'm late. Alec said as he ran towards his class again, being almost there. When Alec finally walked in the door, everyone turned to look at him. "Wow a nerd actually late on the first day of class... Go on and get your tardy nerd," some football player on the front row said as others around him began laughing. Alec's heart dropped and he felt as if he were about to cry. He hated being bullied, mostly from his sexuality. "He's excused; Please have a seat Mr. Lightwood," said a familiar voice. Alec walked quickly to the back and slumped down in a desk in the very back. When Alec took his seat, he looked up and realized something. He had ran into the teacher on the sidewalk, Mr. Magnus Bane. Through out the lesson, Alec would glance up only to find Mr. Bane staring at him, smiling and then turning back to the lesson. Alec would also occasionally glance to his left to find the football players also looking at him, whispering and laughing, probably talking about him. Alec turned away and tried to focus on the lesson, which was on Shakespeare. "Read Ch. 1 in your literature books for homework," Mr. Bane said as the bell rang for lunch. "See you on Thursday! Oh, please turn in your papers on my desk," He continued taking a seat at his desk. When Alec went to turn in his paper, the same football player who made fun of him earlier, pushed Alec out of the way taking his paper. "My name is Alexander Gideon Lightwood. I'm 19 and I like barbies and makeup!" The male said laughing along with the others. Alec could feel tears forming behind his eyes. He didn't want this. He hated to be bullied. He had been bullied all throughout high-school when the captain of the football team told the whole school Alec was gay. It was horrible. He thought if he could just get to college, he could start over and no one will bully him. "Enough Mr. Tanner," Mr. Bane said taking Alec's paper from the boy. The boy rolled his eyes and left along with his friends, a brown haired girl falling behind the crowd, obviously a cheerleader, who just smiled at Alec and caught up with the crew. "I'm so sorry, Alexander," Mr. Bane said trying to comfort Alec. Alec didn't like being called Alexander but honestly, he liked the way Mr. Bane said it. "I'm used to it..." Alec finally said looking down. A long silence fell between them, Alec never looking up. "So why did you take up for me?" He finally said looking up at Mr. Bane. "I couldn't let them just make fun of you; Football players, they are so rude," said Mr. Bane now appearing in front of me. He was so close to me, I could reach out and touch him. He is so hot thought Alec. "Would you like to have lunch with me?" Mr. Bane said after a few minutes. "Wouldn't it be weird having lunch with a student Mr. Bane?" Alec said looking up at the teacher. "First of all, not really because I'm not that much older than you. I'm only 24. Second of all, call me Magnus..." All Alec could do was smile, and he was probably blushing by now. "Well maybe some other time? Here's my number, Call me," said Magnus as he wrote his number on Alec's hand. Alec smiled and started walking towards the cafeteria. Alec sat alone all by himself in the cafeteria as he watched the football players and jocks carry on. Soon, the same brown haired girl appeared at his table. "Hi," the girl said as Alec didn't say anything. "Hey, I'm sorry about my friends... They can be kind of rude..." she continued. Alec still said nothing, though he was listening. "I, used to it.." Alec finally says. "I'm Danielle," The girl says smiling. "Alec," he says. "Danielle! Why are you hanging out with this nerd?" A taller tanned brown haired girl says walking over the table, also being a cheerleader. "Kara, I-" "No, we don't hang out with nerds... Come on... Damon is waiting..." Kara said pulling Danielle along with her. "Bye," Danielle said silently as she was being drug away. Alec watched as the girls joined the others, Kara kissing Damon, which was the same one who bullied him that morning. As he was watching them, he noticed a familiar face, Ethan. Ethan was a part of them? I thought he was different. Alec could feel the disappointment and tears build up again. He had lost his appetite, though he didn't really eat anyways so he decided to put his tray away and go back to his dorm. As Alec went to put up his tray, of course he was surrounded by the football players again. "What do you want Damon?" Alec said looking up at the tall muscled figure in front of him. "Oh nothing... Not hungry?  Too bad," Damon said as Alec's tray was taken from him. Now, everyone's attention was on them. "Let's not waste food," Damon said as he turned Alec's tray up, sending everything things flying off onto Alec's clothes. Soon the cafeteria was filled with laughter as Alec's heart dropped. He grabbed his backpack and ran back to his dorm, wanting to get away from everyone. After Alec had made it back to his dorm and showered, he laid on his bed upset and wondering why this year? Why does it have to continue. As Alec was lying there deep in his thoughts, a knock came upon the door. Alec didn't feel like having company but he opened it anyways. When he opened the door, he couldn't believe his eyes. "Magnus,"
